ibis Paris Porte d'Italie

This Ibis Hotel is clean, friendly and has a helpful staff at the front desk and the restaurant as well. However the neighborhood is definitely a bit tattered, and does not feel very safe. I walked to the bus in the morning, but took Uber back later in the day for safety. AC didn't work, and still didn't after I let them know and they "fixed" it. I tend to be chillier than most, and I was suffocating in the mornings. The room was like a sauna. Their "15 minute" policy should have been applied (if an issue isn't resolved in 15 minutes, you stay as their guest) The Ibis shower certainly needs improvement. It's not only small, but half of it is unusable, and the design doesn't include a door - it's very difficult to not have water flow out onto the floor. I adjusted the shower head higher and made the stream flow straight down, and that helped. There should be a barrier of some kind, on the raised section to make water flow back into the tray, or make the tray bigger - and put a door on… The shower water is nice and hot, and is hot immediately. The water pressure is only ok, but the removable shower head makes rinsing my hair out easier, with the low h2o pressure. The free toiletries they mention are a bottle of all-in-one shampoo/body wash hanging from a hook in the bathroom, that was almost empty. I used it to wash my hands as there is no hand soap. I have my own toiletries so it was a big deal for me. For others, it might be. The food in the bar & restaurant are just

We had an enjoyable stay with restaurants and supermarket near by. Not easy to walk around, but did manage to walk from hotel to Notre Dame.

The hotel is very accessible to the metro and to bus #57. I appreciate the warm reception and the very helpful staff. Its environs is safe and peaceful. The facilities at the hotel are clean, especially the room where I stayed.

Was cheap and clean. Bit far from major tourist attractions but cost of transport is the same as if you stayed right near tourist areas because you will use the metro at some point. Reception was not friendly or helpful but I expected that. They only provide liquid soap in a big bottle which is better for the environment. You will probably have a view of the cemetery.

Great Ibis hotel. Very clean and staff very helpful. Bad location if you are trying to site see. 10-15 minute walk from the metro... Room was very small. Perfect for two people.

The hotel was in a good enough location, (about 10 mins walk from the closest station) but had a lot of group tourists who were blocking and smoking at the entrance. The service was friendly enough, and the room was basic and okay.

Good place if you just need a room to sleep and will be sight seeing all day. 15mins walk from Gentilly train station. Rooms need travel adoptors!! I learnt it the hard way. Comfy clean room on the small side but no noise from the highway close by.

Ver dirty room and small room. With this price better hotel can be availed. Dissatisfied with stay.
