Hotel Divisadero Barrancas

I went to see famous Copper Canyon with gate 1 tour. On original plan, it was supposed to stay at Mirador hotel (only other hotel on the rim of the canyon. Rooms: rooms are spacious with nice combination of basic, wooden features with modern bathroom attached. As they promise, "every room" has a balcony" with excellent canyon view and this is a winner for me and you can relax on the chair provided. Amenities: be sure to spend some time at big lodge with big window to see the canyon and enjoy honest vendors in front of the hotel. - Indigenous Raramuri people from nearby village are selling handmade goods at very fair price (not like in cabo, Cancún or curise ship stops). - Also famous Chepe train station is literally in front of the hotel. Food, service: I would say adequate. Food at times repetitive but hey, it is cooked well and did not sick after eating. Many tour groups and local fighting for table at times. - Also this hotel provide daily allowance of free water bottles (unlike money grabbing Mirador hotel does not). Hidden gem: be sure to check out short trail to hill (owned and maintained by the hotel) - check out cliff dwellers' old houses, archeological artifacts and BEST of all - amazing view of the expensive canyon from the top and if you happened to be at the time Chepe train is coming to the station, excellent photo op! Warning: do not drink or even rinse tap water from bathroom - it is for washing, only water source in that area. Use provided water bottle to brush your teeth etc.

Views are great, rooms are clean. Having Wi-Fi in the rooms would be best as they only have it in the lobby/restaurant area

Beds not comfortable, food not great, and service was ok. Expected more, only great thing were the views

La vista q tienen es espectacular ...las habitaciones quedaron muy por debajo de mis espectativas El baño se le cahe el forrado que tiene....

Usar mobiliario de plástico en un hotel de esa categoría no va de acuerdo, por lo demás todo ok

I Recently Stayed at Posada Barrancas which is Part of Same Group as Divisadero Barrancas Hotel,Since Posada Does Not Have a Restaurant I had to Take our Meals at Posada Barrancas Hotel, I was part of a Group of about 35-40 People and Found out That Restaurant its Short on Resources, Understaffed, Unorganized and Overcrowded. But They Keep Bringing more groups of People just to Fail Miserably. They Tell you that You have to Follow Certain Schedule for Its Restaurant, But Only to Push out Next in Queue Groups,Once, Twice and On and On....We could Observe They moved Staff from The Bar to Help Restaurant Leaving all Dirty Wine Glasses over the Bar and Seat Dining People in all Bar Small Tables, even offering to take meals at the Balcony for a Total Mayhem...Employees were offering apologies one after the other many times.....I believe this Practice its Totally Abusive and Irresponsible from Hotel Management Which Only Middle Management were present but Totally Incapable of Solving The Problem....Top Management its only Interested on Short Term Profits and Of Course Not around during This Critical Times......Need to Understand Apologies Do Not Solve Problems and When Used Sparingly Only Generate Rage and Spoil Peoples Vacation
