In the heart of Fontainebleau with underground private car park. Good breakfast with nice selections. Very close to the Chateau for sightseeing and not far from Paris for resting after travel from the US. Small room but fine for the lower price.

"IDEALLY LOCATED"

The hotel was ideally situated in the town centre, less than 200m from the Chateau. It’s surrounded by excellent places to eat and is easy to find. Parking is close by but is via an underground labyrinth; not suitable for really large vehicles or over 2m high. But it was linked directly to the hotel. The only issue we had was that our room was on the main street and we had the normal cacophony of very late evening and very early morning ‘city’ noises. For an October stay, it was unseasonably warm and the air conditioning wasn’t available. Keeping the windows open was necessary but starved us of sleep because of the noise. But a good hotel otherwise.

"Good location with small & sufficient room"

ibis Château de Fontainebleau is in a great location. It is very near the Castle and many restaurants and shops. There is a parking lot near the hotel, and the hotel has it's own gated garage for 10 Euro a day. The hotel parking space is limited and the size of the parking space is very tight. We had a small car and had some difficulty getting in and out the garage. The room was small and sufficient. The shower was strong except the shower door only half covered the shower. We couldn't avoid making the floor wet, but the half shower/bath door is common in Europe. As Americans, we don't understand why they don't make the shower door fully cover the shower. The hotel didn't provide hand towel, wash cloth, and hair conditioner. They had all-in-one shampoo/hand soap/bath gel. The toilet tissue was very rough. That's why I couldn't give them 5 stars.

"Excellent"

Very walkable to Chateau and town Centre. Breakfast was good and also the food we ate from the 24/7 cafe was good.
