Location and layout

Needs some repairs to screen door, blinds, new mattresses and bedding.

Everything was great, but I suggest more places to relax indoors. The bottom room should have a pull out sofa as a second bed option instead of walking directly into a bedroom.

I am beyond disgusted with the lack of humanity and professionalism shown by Waterside Suites and Marina. We were hit with a massive, life-altering family emergency and needed to either cancel our stay or simply shift the dates. I understand hotels have policies, but this wasn't a "change of heart"—it was a crisis. The most infuriating part? They are ghosts. Phone: I called multiple times at all hours. No one ever picks up. It just rings out or goes to a generic voicemail that clearly no one checks. Expedia: We attempted to mediate through the app, and even the Expedia agents couldn't get a hold of anyone at the property to authorize a change. It is terrifying to think that a "hospitality" business can just take your money and then completely vanish when you need to speak to a human being. They don't care about their guests; they only care about keeping your deposit while you're dealing with a tragedy. If you want a hotel that actually answers the phone or shows an ounce of empathy during a family emergency, do not book here. They will take your money and leave you stranded in your darkest hour. Absolutely pathetic.

This was our second stay here after visiting from the UK 6 years ago. The location on the canal is superb, across from some fantastic bars and in a busy area full of restaurants and diners. The terrace off the kitchen overlooking the canal is great for people/boatwatching, as is the shared pool which is flooded with sunshine all day.

Pretty views from the balcony

We stayed in suite 105 and were very disappointed. The last time we stayed here our rooms were spotlessly clean and everything was great. This suite has a floor with very significant water damage. The floor is lifting and spongy to step on in spots. Neither TV worked with a remote issue downstairs and not even a picture on the tv upstairs. Kitchen cabinet doors and baseboards were very dirty. The loveseat had strange water stains and we put a towel down to sit on. The ice machine was broken. I could go on but this was a huge disappointment as we were so happy with the place the last time we stayed!

We were very disappointed that there is no recycling facility for glass, metal and cardboard , this is particularly disappointing in an area of outstanding natural beauty , where care for the environment is paramount in preserving the beauty and biological diversity for the future. Please can this be addressed ? This was the only concern that we had about our stay but it would affect our decision to recommend or return to waterside suites .

On the surface this place is great, and we loved the location. But the room was quite tired and tatty (e.g., broken blinds allowing people to see in, sticky floors). We would have been fine with this if not for the price, which really didn't reflect the quality.

The location right by the marina. The 2-storey apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Would certainly refine we and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
