China World Hotel, Beijing

My recent stay at the China World Hotel had both highlights and disappointments. On the positive side, the location was absolutely perfect for reaching all of my scheduled meetings—very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the inner garden, which made our stay more pleasant. The food was excellent—delicious dishes and outstanding pastries.

However, I must mention a few negative experiences that affected our overall impression. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service was intrusive and persistent. Despite placing a "Do Not Disturb" sign and specifically requesting that the room not be cleaned during our absence, staff entered the room without our consent. Moreover, used towels and laundry were left inside the room and even by the door, which was both unpleasant and unexpected. It felt as though there was pressure to justify additional service charges. In addition, unexpected transfer fees were added to our bill, even though we did not use any such services. In contrast to the proactive housekeeping, the restaurant service was inattentive. Staff were slow to respond, and when my daughter ordered a drink, she was brought something completely different. The front desk staff were also not helpful—no information was shared during check-in, and our questions were left unanswered. While I appreciated some aspects of our stay, the lack of consistent service and communication was disappointing. Regrettably, next time I may have to consider other accommodation options in the same area.

China World Hotel, Beijing, is one of the longest-standing five-star hotels in the Capital of China. I love its staff and geographical location! The service level is both highly superb and personable. I admit that the hotel is not as new as some of the five-star hotels in Beijing, but it is the "old charm" that gives me a sense of being at my own home! I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers, both international and Chinese domestic, to fully experience how great this hotel is and has always been!

Spacious room meeting the expectation of the value. Close connection to metro and malls. Also has great view. Pity I only stayed here for the sleeping and had to work all day.

WiFi was too slow and almost unusable. Had to rely on mobile phone instead which was disappointing considering the value of this hotel
