Wine Valley Inn

Property was nice, outside was clean and well taken care of. Cleaning crew was very kind and welcoming to guests.

Cottages needs repairs. the balcony is falling apart, the floorboard was very loose. Management didn’t contact us when the previous guest contacted them about leaving their gun in the room the night we checked in, instead they waited until we checked out already taking the weapon and ID to the police station. He knew there was a possibility that a gun was in the cottage and didn’t come to retrieve or call me to warn us of the situation. I had a child with me and that could’ve been bad if it was placed somewhere my child could’ve found it. When we took it back to the manager, he was rolling his eyes and being rude.

Wine Valley Inn is a really nice and quaint hotel. Rooms are being renovated and ours [214] was all brand new. Staff is really great and helpful,especially Allysa. Amenities are really good, especially the wine hour. Location to downtown Solvang is great.

Noise...from the adjacent roads, disrespectful hotel guests on property and in hotel rooms as walls are not well insulated. Breakfast was ok but surprised to not see any local pastries offered as the town is littered with bakeries.

Great place

Wasn't their fault, doing construction on some of the rooms, so there was trash and debris laying around. For one example we left and the floor in the elevator was dirty/trash on the floor. We came back several hours later and the elevator was in the same condition. Not saying the elevator should have been detailed, but someone going thru it with a shopvac would have taken a couple of mins

We chose Wine Valley Inn & Cottages for our visit to Solvang. It’s centrally located and has several room types so we found a place to meet out needs. My daughter and I stayed in cottage #4, which had a king bed and a twin bed, so no one needed to sleep on the pull out couch and we had good living space and a small kitchen so we had a central place to hang out. My sister was able to get her own room. We love the wine Happy Hour. The staff were nice and helpful and we loved our visit.

Some rooms smelled of mold and had to request a different room and amenities were limited. We used bar items and they were not replaced for the full stay of a week. Asked for chocolates and wine in room and received a Christmas package of chocolates in May 2026 for 50 dollars.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The room was amazing!!!! There were a few glitches but nothing that wasn't handled immediately.

We’ve stayed here several times in the past and with the exception of our stay in 2022 we’ve always had a nice stay. This time, as in the past, we got a cottage with a hot tub. The cottage is quaint and has everything you would need. Downstairs there is a comfortable sitting area with a coach, nice chairs by the gas fireplace, tv and a breakfast/dinner table. There are double doors going out to the private hot tub which was very nice. There’s also a kitchenette area that has everything you would need to eat in. Loved the hot tub and fireplace! Upstairs is a large bedroom with a sitting area. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a nice shower. The breakfast was very good as it has been in the past. The grounds are beautiful, a little hard to navigate if you’re disabled but once you learn the layout you can maneuver pretty easy. The hotel staff is very helpful and helped us get our luggage to our room. All in all a great stay and the only knock I have against the Inn was they charged us for an 30 minute early check in. I know, we could’ve walked around the town for 30 minutes but we were tired after driving all day. Due to our bad experience with a Jr. Suite Room in 2022 I swore I wouldn’t stay here again but glad we stayed in a hot tub cottage this trip.
