Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa

Resort could use some TLC. I was directed to the ice machine in my wing by the desk clerk. When I got there, there was sign informing me that it had not been hooked up and I would have to use another. When I turned off the shower, the lever came off in my hand along with the fixture around the handle and I had to "fix" it. Basically it was a place to sleep and the price was low.

Great location but the hotel is falling apart. I asked for the owner and of course the resort has absentee ownership. Pot holes all over the property and it was difficult connecting with the staff. Really too bad, as the Stoweflake probably has the best location being close to the mountain, restaurants, recreation trail, etc. Again absentee ownership is primary reason to avoid the Stoweflake.

Included breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious.

A public washroom was not properly cleaned or repaired for at least 24 hours and it was full. It was disgusting. Should at least have warned the customers with a notice on the door.

Very pleasant staff, very clean, nice continental breakfast with many options They are making updates to the property including reopening onsite restaurant and indoor pool renovations. Outdoor pool area and grounds were very pretty.

Had to run bathtub water for several minutes until it ran clear…Greenish water coming from pipes. Let staff know…. and they were aware and apologized….

Nice size room

Seemed a little shabby. Maybe it’s better during ski season? The thermostat in room didn’t seem to be working. Constant fan but no temp control. Set it to 70 for air conditioning but the temperature of the room didn’t cool down. Set it to 63 at night and the temperature only cooled down because the temperature outside had cooled down and even then the thermostat said temp in the room was 72. Also bathtub had an indentation worn into it and a little water stayed there, did not drain. That area is discolored. We did not try the complimentary breakfast.

This property is definitively NOT a resort by any stretch of the imagination. My stay here easily ranks as one of the absolute worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and the entire property is in dire, desperate need of a complete remodel. Here is exactly why you should avoid this place: Zero Soundproofing: The walls are paper-thin. I could hear word-for-word conversations from the guests in the rooms next door. To make matters worse, I had drunk neighbors being loud and completely obnoxious all night long, making sleep impossible. Severe Hygiene Concerns & Outdated Rooms: Everything in the room was incredibly outdated. I was genuinely worried that the place would have bed bugs because the mattress had zero encasement, and my anxiety only peaked when I spotted blood stains on the sheets. Subpar Food: The breakfast offered was incredibly disappointing and subpar in quality. Hidden Fees: Watch your bank statement. They hide a sneaky $20 "resort" fee from guests, which they do not mention upfront but will absolutely charge you for later on. I would NEVER stay here again, and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The only single positive thing I can say about the entire ordeal is that the front desk staff was friendly during both check-in and check-out. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Nice layout, spacious room, great grassy expanse, plenty of parking.

The location was walking distance to the Alchemist, restaurants, and ice cream

The spa will open by fall.

Was taken fora 1 night stay for Mother’s Day!!! Always a great stay
