The lounges, bar and coffee rooms were furnished impressively.

The dining room was hung with photographs of waiters and waitresses in immaculate dress. Erm, things have relaxed markedly on that count.

A very comfortable hotel in the centre of the pleasant town of Boroughbridge. Very traditional furnishings - old fashioned and tasteful. Nice little swimming pool. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Price is a little high but there are few options in this small town.

Great facilities, Spa is a must to visit before sampling a meal in the excellent restaurant. The Crown is a lovely hotel , full of character and everything is of a high standard ( even down to bathroom products ). We ate in the restaurant and service was friendly but professional. Food excellent as was the breakfast in the morning. Our double room was very well presented, comfy bed , lots of tea, coffee ( Nespresso) with biscuits .. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the many attractions in the area. Parking secure and free

In our room, specifically, the framed pictures on the walls do not seem to suit the character of the building. The Jacuzzi didn't have an on-off button, but rather a 10 mins on and 10 mins off regardless if someone was inside relaxing.

Situated in a lovely market town. Great facilities especially the spa. Very very helpful welcoming staff the Crown has a lovely tradition feel and we'll be back.

There was no walk in shower which made it difficult and there was no hand rail on the wall to assist. An accident waiting to happen.

We liked the friendliness of all the staff, the comfort and decor throughout. Particularly enjoyed a swim in the pool. Great facility. We liked the seating in the restaurant and space between diners. Overall it was EXCELLENT
