Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Thunder Bay

Dave at front desk was super nice and accommodating at check in and taking payment. After that it’s all narcissistic responses and it’s the guests fault if stuff in their hotel is broken.

Door handle/lock didn’t work. They didn’t fix til next day, after I made several complaints. Somehow this was my fault too. This is not a real hotel. It’s government subsidized housing with a constant stream of beggars, hooligans, drug addicts, drunks and young pregnant women begging for cigarettes at the front of the hotel. Puke at the entrance of hotel, the property is covered in cigarette butts. Big tall young boy patrols the entrance during the night and you gotta pay your pass by fee with at least 2 cigarettes. Some come up and ask for a toke of your smoke. In the morning there was some sort of chaos at the front with the police picking up some young man. Another bunch of drunks were wobbling around the hotel. Dave the front desk said just say NO to all the cigarette beggars and that the hotel can’t control what going on outside the hotel. There is always a stream of random people passing through this property. They have security but security is very lacklustre. The manger Paul Otway was asking me to prove how I know the drunk guest. I didn’t know any of those drunks. The manager is a bit creepy. It’s possible he and Dave were stalking me through my travel ads. I don’t drink alcohol and the 2 times I went to restaurant bar to get a Pepsi, the bartender asked if I want some vodka with that. I don’t know who drinks vodka and Pepsi, but if I just order a Pepsi that’s all I want. During breakfast the waiter brought and out the bill on the table in the middle of eating.

Close to the airport with shuttle services.

Sticky floors and questionable cleanliness.
