Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Thunder Bay

The hotel was comfortable and had a spacious pool area. My room was cozy. Staff were friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

Hallways looked a little tired, but staff did their best to keep them tidy.

The heating unit cover was left on the floor as if someone was working on it but did not finish the job. The heating unit did not work. Hallways and stairs not vacuumed and messy. Clogged sinks in the bathroom.

I liked that we got a free upgrade to a spacious family suite. Staff was very helpful and responsive, lots of parking available and hotel was easy to find.

We had an interior room so we had no window/natural light. The carpet felt very dirty/sticky under bare feet and the slide wasn't open while we were there (one of the main reasons we chose this hotel). The people staying in the room next too us didn't abide by tbe quiet time hours and my baby woke twice from their noise after 12am. The ice machine was leaking and the carpet was soaking. Hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and the elevator smelled like alcohol when we rode it in the morning.

Air cond'g was non operational, with inside room there were no windows and fan did very little. There was water on carpet inside to room and maintenance came on call; took a look and said it doesn't look like a leak anywhere so just left. Put towels on damp spot overnight and they were soaking wet in the morning. I know that a large group of wildfire victims were housed at the hotel but in public areas it was congested and uncomfortable. A lot of kids making noise in hallways until well after midnight.

Location was good. I did not have breakfast.shuttle service was excellent.

Very noise, pool closed at 9, toilet leaked continously, poor lighting in the room, thermostate did not work, bedside lamp did not work. The room was totally unacceptable. The hot tub was like warm. People smoking outside each door.
