Arrived to be greeted by two very friendly people at the reception desk who explained everything, then after leaving the bags in the room. Went to explore the pool, again nice host in the leisure center. Leisure facilities were great, followed this by our 1st trip to the Club Lounge which provided a nice quiet relaxing area with great canapes and drinks. We ventured out for food, and returned to use the Birthday gift vouchers in the bar. Then gentleman who served us Friday 8th night, was excellent. He was very much into making it fun for the teenagers, and joking with what they could and couldn't have. The youngest enjoyed the malteasers that came with the hot drinks, a nice touch!! Breakfast Saturday 9th was great lots of choice, and my GF allergy food was done really well too, was offered more if I wanted to. Only thing I felt is the Allergy list doesn't group things some items were away from the cooked food. But it was the best model i've seen so far, keep the card system it works well. Very enjoyable overall, and when visiting the NEC again we'll be back.

Close to the shopping arcade. The staff were very welcoming and the room clean. Loved the pool and spa area.

The pillows were not very comfortable, but otherwise no other concerns.

Breakfast was a disappointment. Understaffed maybe??!! Constantly ran out of items and people waiting around for the basics to be replenished. This happened both mornings we had breakfast. Was given a table for 2 with a very wobbly leg on one of the chairs so asked for it to be changed. Came back from getting a coffee and the leg was still wobbly.....apparently it had been changed! Was told it would be alright to sit on!! or just swap it with my partners opposite!! Great service NOT!! The gentleman on the next table got up to get a coffee.....by the time he came back the table had been cleared, reset and another person was sat there!!

Check in very efficient and friendly. Room was excellent. Everywhere was clean and well maintained. We slept well, comfortable bed and quiet room. Bathroom very well appointed. Breakfast is buffet which suits us. Quality and choice of items was very good. Staff were friendly. We ate in the hotel for dinner on one evening. Good choice of dishes. One of us had Chicken Milanese and one Sirloin. Both were excellent, well presented and tasty. Location of hotel is very good, close to town centre, to railway station and also principal bus stops. We would certainly use Crowne Plaza hotels again.

Breakfast was good. Some staff were more willing to accomodate than others.

I feel some greater cultural awareness would be great. I had a coffee late at night to takeaway from the bar. The bar attendant served alcohol and as I dont drink alcohol I tried to respectfully ask if he can wash his hands before making the coffee. He did say he would but would say that he didn't touch the alcohol, though for us we want to be extra careful. He did get another colleague to make it which was better. But maybe some greater awareness would be better
