"Took perfect care of us"

10.0

Our family of over 30 people all went to this resort over the new years holiday It was wonderful. We actually got stranded when our flights got canceled due to the issues in Venezuela. This resort was gracious and accommodated us and did not try to take advantage of our situation, they were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again.

"Will not return at all"

2.0

booked a 4 night "ocean view" at Divi Aruba all inclusive in November at US$750 a night, with high expectation before arrival. It did not feel like an up scale hotel for the price we paid when arrived, I've seem more decorated, high-end lobby in Hawaii, Mexico and Las Vegas than this one in Aruba. Did not expect check-in staff dressed so casually (not against the employees, just the uniform come from the hotel), next is the wristband for all the guests at the hotel, it's a 1/2" width plastic band with color looks just like prisoner wristband, it is embarrassing. Scuffed up and finger-printed stainless steel walled elevator took us to our room on the top floor (4th). A typical 2 1/2 star room with rusted bath sink, bath towels feel like 400 grit sand paper, only no -name brand shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided and nothing else. A 32" TV on a scratched up furniture. Next is Ocean View as I paid extra for it, (big mistake) problem is the lower 50% of the view is block by another building, so there's not much to see, just some far distance water and blue sky. This is not the end yet. first night dinner we went for buffet at 7pm since other 4 restaurant required pre booking. food at the buffet was disappointed, chicken was dry and beef was tough. Well, you get the idea. I've been to other 5 stars hotel in other countries get what I paid for. This one is 5 star price with 2 1/2 star quality. ( did I mention plastic flowers along the major route to the hotel)

"Johnathan at the front desk made our visit 5 star"

10.0

Our first time at the Divi and we WILL BE BACK. Johnathan at the front desk worked with care and concern to get us into the room that was in line with our needs. This kind of service is not commonplace from my traveling experiences . HE CARED !!! I would also like to give a shout out and a thank you to Bernadette at the beach bar. Such GREAT service. She cared about us ! we were not just another customer to her, she was personable and patient . the food was very good . Be sure not to miss out on the Club Margot experience. We went there twice during our 6 days visit. The entertainment was great. we had not been out dancing in a while and the bands got us moving. The headphone experience at he Tamarin was a blast !!!

"Could be great. But not there"

6.0

We are here now and need to express some of the good and the bad. This place could be fantastic but there are areas where they are falling short. We are in one of the newer rooms, I think, but there are certainly some flaws. We started in room 518 and upon arrival there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. We asked to move and were given a room down the hall. Much better in this room but here are the negatives: - absolutely no drawers for clothes - the towels are the worst like others have said. So small and thin - Our bathroom door is broken. It would come off the track if we didn’t stick a wash cloth above the door. - anyone else have these weird broken wires under the beds and vanity in the bathroom? I’m assuming they were motion lights. But now just exposed wires. I’m surprised that more parents haven’t complained because if my kids were here they’d definitely try to play with them. - i also dont think I’ve ever been to an AI without robes in the rooms and at least some non alcoholic beverages in the fridge. No robe to wear in the room and literal napkins for towels. Not everyone comes on vacation with a significant other. - last but not least is the cleanliness of the rooms. Both old and new room, you can see other people’s hair in the corners of the room, dirt, debris, sand. Our balcony floor was also not cleaned. We can see sticky footprints out there. Cleanliness of the resort needs to be addressed overall. Not just the rooms. Hallways that are stained, sticky, and gross looking. Towel bins that are overflowing constantly. garbages overflowing everywhere, attracting bugs. Just gross. Like no one is in charge of these things. Also nasty debris in the sand-I’m talking bloody qtips, bandaids, things like that, right next to your beach chair. The non resort guests taking over spots on the beach is also a problem. They just move in with their folding chairs, big coolers, taking palapas and no one says anything. No one polices it. Food has been really good. So no complaints there. And bar services has been good too. Honestly, this place could be so good. But they really do need to step up their game with the cleanliness. We were hoping to come back here with a big group in November but not rethinking to another AI in Aruba instead.

"New Years Blast!"

10.0

My family of 11 (8 adults, 3 kiddos) stayed here the week of New Years Eve - we had a total blast! Food was great, especially the ala carte restaurants. Special shout out to the Club Margot restaurant - what a treat! Cocktails were plentiful with top shelf liquor selections. People were friendly, service was great. One of the best all inclusives I’ve been too. If you can spring for it - get a lanai room on the beach. So amazing to walk out your door and be on the beach. I honestly don’t know how anyone can complain about this place. You need to remember - everyone here is on “island time” so slow down, relax, have a sense of humor - whatever you need will get done. The NYE fireworks were so special and the entertainment was awesome. Loved the jitneys between the Divi resorts - super easy to get around. Free activities like e-bikes. Plus a little hut on the beach that offers snorkels, etc. Pool area was relaxing and fun. Buffets were great for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be back!

"We had a great visit. We requested two rooms near each other and that was all we were hoping for…"

8.0

We were hoping for two rooms near each other - we were put in two of the new casita rooms and could not have been happier. We were a few steps from the beach. I’m sure folks may have been bothered by construction but it is pretty much done - other than one little structure almost done by the main pool. I’m hoping that structure is a bathroom - that would be one of my few “issues”. More bathrooms - like near every pool…? The tamarin hasn’t bathroom near the lobby but the Divi only has one that I found… Additionally - I wish they had the reusable silicone bracelets instead of the rough disposable ones. We stayed at a result in Cancun 7? Years ago ? And the silicone bracelets were much more comfortable and better for the environment. I enjoyed all the restaurants but probably would skip the Pure Lime one if we returned - no view - and food was just ok. Other than above - we really enjoyed our stay. I think we got a really good deal through Expedia - two rooms and airfare for 5 nights for a price that seemed reasonable. Hoping we can do again in future…this was our third trip to Aruba - second to the Divi - first was 25 years ago.

"Another Great Trip!"

10.0

My husband and I brought along some friends to experience the Divi/Tamarijn All Inclusive resort and they loved it as much as we do. A 20 minute drive from the airport, this resort is located right on the beach. At the time, construction was taking place on the Divi Beachside Rooms (Casitas) but it did not hamper our vacation. A short walk to the Tamarijn (which is equally beautiful, however the beach is not what it once was) you will find the Bunker Bar, the resort favorite place to hang out. Both resorts have great restaurants and buffets. Highly recommend the Red Parrot and Paparazzi. Nightly entertainment varies. Would recommend some lively music playing at the Divi pool during the day as there was none while we were there. Casino and shopping within walking distance. Bartenders and food service people A+ .... we've been numerous times and have seen the same smiling faces year after year! My only gripe: PEOPLE .... TAKE YOUR FLOATS/RAFTS HOME WITH YOU!!!! Tooooo many people are leaving them behind thinking they are going to be used and in reality, they are just littering the ground and beach. The resort does have noodles!!

"Loved the updated to the food and the resort"

10.0

Our group of 22 went for a birthday celebration (have been doing that for the last 12 years) from the time we contacted the Divi back in March through our entire stay the staff was extremely helpful. All of the servers were extremely friendly but I have to give a special shout out to Jennifer who went above and beyond every day. The recent updates to the resort are awesome and the food has definitely been moved up a notch with the flavors and plating. Thank you so much for the wonderful week. Marty from Marty's Party.

"Hotel is not worth it"

4.0

This is our 5th year staying at the divi all inclusive. Hotel has gone down hill. Zero level of service, from the front desk to the restaurant waiters they all act like you are bothering them. Food quality has gone down each year. Food is subpar is all restaurants. Drinks in the bar are junk. This hotel has gone from a 4* experience to a 2* hotel over the past few years. Even if you speak to a manager they treat you rudely and don’t care. Go to the Riu instead.
