Best Western Regina Elena

We had an excellent stay at Regina Elena. We booked a room with a terrace looking out to the sea which was better than expected. The terrace was huge and had a table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs - perfect for a morning coffee or evening wine! The bed was very comfortable, the room had a well-stocked mini fridge with reasonable prices and the bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. Breakfast every morning was excellent. It had so many choices that I enjoyed something different each morning. The roof top pool and beach were both very nice and the hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop and along the walking path to Portofino. We would definitely stay here again!

Travelled with Love Holidays, a very fair price for accommodation and flight. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms were well equipped, clean with air conditioning. A good location for the beautiful town of Santa Margherita. Prices in the town were reasonable.

The roof top was incredible and suite room was perfect for our daughter! Loved everything and the breakfast was incredible!

Outstanding hotel...if you get the view!! The hotel is magnificent as it has an amazing view from the front facing rooms. Those rooms don't offer a ton of privacy on balconies and the rooms were quite small for two people. The rooms not facing out to the water were large and the bathrooms were great!! This was the BEST shower set up in all of Italy! It was HUGE and had a ledge for my toiletries. The food was excellent at breakfast and the room easily took care of large groups. It's well situated as it's only a 5-7 minutes walk down into Santa Margherita. Great restaurants and boutique shops. Train station is a bit far, so I would suggest a taxi. Staff were lovely...elevators are small and quite small. Bar is lovely and you they have sitting areas both inside and outside for your convenience.

The staff were all friendly and helpful and the rooms clean but the website pictures did look a lot better than the reality. The room was more 2-3 star, the breakfast was limited and the pool was very small. We were also really disappointed to be asked for €50 per person per day to go onto the private beach. Consequently it was empty almost all the time. The hotel needs a refurbishment and to be properly rated as a 3 star.

A really nice hotel overlooking the beach. Rooms with small balcony. Clean and comfortable with rooms cleaned each day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent choice for breakfast. Also has a restaurant. About 15 minutes walk into Santa Margherita although there is a bus stop right outside. Perfect for exploring Portofino and Cinque terre. You have to pay for sunlounger and umbrella on the beach but we preferred the rooftop pool and jacuzzi with a view. Would highly recommend.
