Amazing staff, room was very clean, the atmosphere was fantastic especially the pianist, Christmas decorations added charm to the place. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful facilities, friendly staff from reception, the day spa, restaurant and housekeeping. Delicious food in the restaurant! Cocktails by the pool was amazing!!!

Location was lovely. Gardens were nice.

We'd have loved to have sat on the terrace and had a cup of tea or a drink. Instead we had to sit in a large American-style lounge lacking character and ambience. The hotel appears to be sprucing up but is a bit tired

Location is great! The staff were pleasant and the service was generally good. We left behind the watch and the frond desk organised delivery very quickly.

Unfortunately, the property feels too old, too worn, and simply too tired to justify its rating. The rooms and bathrooms show clear signs of age — dated furnishings, scuffed surfaces, and a general lack of freshness. Common areas also look worn, and what should feel luxurious instead feels neglected. Even though it carries a 5-star label, the atmosphere doesn’t match the standard you’d expect. We stayed from Sunday toMonday and there was no live music at the bar area (only on Saturdays). Why? The worst was the swimming pool area - all furniture was rotten and looked disgusting, the sauna is so old that it is scary to sit in , the temperature is too low - you can’t even properly sweat. The jacuzzi was just covered with the top lid (it used to be great )

Spa treatment excellent but organisation beforehand very disorganised. I was rung on 5 separate occasions to alter, confim and reconfirm appointment and nearly cancelled it. We have stayed at Lillianfells several times over the last 15 years. I felt that the hotel definitely needs an upgrade. The room we stayed in, 133, was rather tired looking with chips on the furniture, the towelling gowns were somewhat threadbare, little details like the pen didn’t work, the bar fridge was clunky, there wasn’t any earl grey tea. I was a little disappointed as I would have expected higher quality finishes. I understand the hotel is undergoing some refurbishment at the moment which I think is badly needed.

The property is currently undergoing a refurbishment which wasn’t highlighted. The property is a little tired, hopefully the refurbishment rectifies this. Some staff were very pleasant and helpful, others not so..
