Microtel Inn by Wyndham Lake Norman

Was just ok…breakfast not good, room really small

The hotel is older but has been recently renovated. Room had a microwave and mini fridge, there was also a combo shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the shower (not sure of quality as I didn’t use these) Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to I77. There was a very strong air freshener smell in the lobby but I noticed upstairs in the hallway it smelled like garbage throughout the hall, it did not smell in the room so maybe it was just something on the day I was there. They did offer breakfast- I didn’t have it so I’m not sure what was included. Overall, the room was clean and it was good for a night or 2 but if you’re expecting a 5star hotel this isn’t it.

Appearance of the bathroom walls. Poor upgrading/repair.

Sufficient breakfast. Beds comfortable.

Hotel needs remodeling. Old. Rugs dark and dingy. Bathroom needs hooks for clothing and grab bars in shower.

Even though it is a budget hotel the room was very spacious with an extremely comfortable swivel office chair. I was very pleased at how clean it was and there was a good tasty selection for breakfast.

Basic breakfast was good with waffle maker which my young daughter liked. Good location right off the highway. Hotel and rooms were very clean and recently renovated. Had an awful experience on my way up north at another hotel so your hotel was a massive upgrade from my prior stay and pricing was the very fair .

Saw someone sitting outside when I arrived smoking in the covered parking area . This area was close to building and should be at the far end of the covered parking area in my opinion .

Convenient location for where we needed to be, lots of food options nearby, comfortable bed
