Santiburi Koh Samui

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Thailand. The staff are exceptional. They really go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They were so caring to our family. The food choices were fantastic and the main restaurant and service was top class. I couldn’t fault anything about this hotel. We cannot wait to return.

Die Mitarbeiter sind von der Reinigungskraft, das Servicepersonal, die Gärtner und der Manager einfach nur TOP. Uns hat gestört, dass die Preise so übertrieben teuer sind. Wir haben für eine Portion trockenen Reis und 1x Mango Sticky Reis, mehr bezahlt, was dort ein Mitarbeiter am Tag verdient. Ausserdem hat uns extrem gestört, dass Raucher wenig Platz in dem Hotel haben. Dort ist einer der größten Pool der Insel, mit abständen zwischen den Liegen von teilweise 10-20m und man hat dort nur eine Bank in der Ecke, wo man rauchen kann. Selbst am Strand muss man an einen kleinen Tisch zum rauchen. Beim Frühstücken ist genug Platz und auch „räumliche“ Trennung, dass man einen Raucher und einen Nichtraucherbereich machen könnte.. wären die total übertriebene Preise nicht und es gäbe mehr Möglichkeiten zum rauchen, wären wir wieder gekommen..

We stayed at Santiburi Koh Samui for our honeymoon, with our two young kids in tow, and honestly it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. It’s a proper luxury resort but still incredibly relaxed, warm and welcoming – and it couldn’t have been more perfect for families. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was so kind to our children, and there were so many lovely little surprises and thoughtful touches throughout the stay – from toys left out for the kids, to treats in the room, to handwritten notes and a surprise celebration cake. They just really get what makes a stay feel special. The kids’ club was amazing – our two were totally in love with it and kept asking to go back. That meant we could properly relax, have some couple time, and enjoy the stunning setting. It felt like a real honeymoon, even with the kids there. The food was brilliant, every single meal. The breakfast spread was outrageous (in the best way) and everything we had, from the Thai dishes to the international options, was fresh, beautifully made and full of flavour. You can tell food is a big deal here and they do it so well. The accommodation was lovely – really spacious, beautifully kept and full of charm. Everything was spotless and comfortable, with little details that made it feel luxurious without being over-the-top. The location is absolutely gorgeous – peaceful beach, lush tropical gardens, and loads of space to explore without it feeling too big or busy. It felt calm and serene, but still had enough going on that we never got bored. What stood out more than anything was the service. We’ve stayed at a few nice places before, but nothing has ever come close to this. The staff were incredible – genuinely warm, kind and always one step ahead of what we needed. There’s a real heart to this place. It was definitely the top end of our budget, but honestly, it felt like such good value for what we got. We came away feeling relaxed, happy and completely spoiled. Would 100% recommend Santiburi to anyone – especially if you’ve got kids but still want that proper five-star experience. We’re already planning when we can come back! Special shout out to Tanya who went above and beyond plus Bpin, Beer, Pop and Ken who were incredible.

Très bel hôtel avec plage top ! Piscine très grande pas très sexy mais ok.

Having stayed here with my family (2 adults and 2 children) for 6 days I would give our stay 6/10. This hotel requires improvements in all areas. We stayed in a one bedroom garden villa with plunge pool. We found the room dated and lacking in luxury. We couldn’t use the plunge pool as it was dated and tiles need refurbishing. Where improvements could be made; 1)Towels need replacing by the pool. They look 10 years old and lack luxury feel. (Comparing these to the quality at Banyan tree and Melia). 2) The pool is big and lovely and warm but again needs sprucing up. Water bottles should be handed out to guests and maybe fresh fruit skewers served with cold flannels. 3) There needs to be more entertainment and liveliness in the lobby and bar. On an evening there is no atmosphere in the bar - there needs to be live music playing, entertaining cocktail makers. Its every quiet with very few guests around. (A soulless feeling.) Also the pool / beach bar should be open for evening drinks. Considering it is Easter you would not know .. Where are the decorations? Why is there no Easter bunny at breakfast time or by the pool entertaining the children? Why no egg hunt around the hotel? Where is the kids entertainment? 4) Breakfast is buffet style and only available in one location. As this is a beach resort we would have liked the option for breakfast at the beach bar. As this is a beautiful location. A small a la carte menu would be nice. 5) There are lots of mosquitoes around, which is obviously uncontrollable but the rooms could do with having a bottle of homemade repellent oil/lotion. (This is what we had at a different hotel). There needs wider spraying of repellent around the resort. There is lots of stagnant water which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. My understanding is repellent is sprayed weekly which is unacceptable. 6) We didn’t feel special here like we did at the Banyan Tree, Bangkok and Melia, Chiang Mai. I understand it’s a larger hotel but I felt the staff were so occupied serving that there was no time for conversation. 7) Complimentary afternoon tea was served but was poor. One very small sandwich and a small piece of cake. No variety. Overall we had an enjoyable stay but we felt the Instagram page made it look a lot better than it is. The beach is beautiful and sea so warm. So if you want a lovely stretch of beach then Maenam is excellent. We did find that there is very little outside of the hotel in terms of restaurants so had to get a taxi to fisherman’s village to eat in the evenings. The hotel has a Michelin guided restaurant but again you wouldn’t know as it’s tucked away and no staff talking about it and showing you where it is or promoting what produce is on offer. A suggestion would be some canapé samples in the lobby area. Our feedback was conveyed to Tanya in Guest Relations - who took on board our feedback and was generally excellent, showed keen interest and provided some options for outside the resort dining.

Everything here is perfect.

The most beautiful and luxurious hotel. From the minute you arrive the service is impeccable. The staff at this resort are truly incredible and nothing too much trouble. Honestly one of the best resorts I have stayed in. With a beautiful beach in paradise. Can’t fault a thing. Loads of food choices and only a short taxi ride to fisherman’s village which the hotel can sort in minutes in one of their luxury minibuses. The standard of the rooms and added touches just make the whole experience amazing. I think the photos we saw don’t actually do it justice. Food and drink is reasonably priced maybe expensive for Thailand generally but still much cheaper than uk.

Santiburi was absolutely perfect.

Das Hotel insgesamt ist sehr gut. Die Matratze und die Kopfkissen könnten besser ( weicher, bequemer) sein. Bei den Restaurants gibt es noch Luft nach oben
