Had another stay at the Dragonfly hotel in Colchester. I’ve been there a few times now and I have to say it’s Beautiful inside and out. Fantastic views from my window of the lake. Lovely clean spacious room, lovely food in the bar restaurant area and breakfast aswell I would like to mention in particular “Mac” the lovely bar man who served me my food and drinks. He was so welcoming and friendly. Really lovely guy, we were chatting and it felt as though I’d known him for years. Thank you Mac for welcoming me and making my stay really enjoyable ! I will be back again soon and I will request room 201 again as the view was really nice I Highly recommend the dragonfly Hotel

Bathroom not clean, toilet didn’t flush (reported and fix didn’t work), shower barely worked either. Food is average at best. Beer selection wouldn’t pour.

The Dragonfly hotel hosted our 30th wedding anniversary and were brilliant throughout the booking stage right through to Mack and Jake behind the bar on our special evening. Young Maisie at the Breakfast service was brilliant too. Wr can’t thank you all for such excellent service and making our special event even more memorable. Anyone thinking of doing a similar event give these guys a call as it was very well priced and brilliant value for money with a excellent service throughout our whole stay. A Easy 5 stars from me and our guest.
