Forest Park Hotel

I stayed at Forest Park Hotel from June 13–15, 2026, in Room 531, paying approximately $1,500 for two nights. Upon arrival, I found long black hairs on the bathroom floor, which immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room. The most disappointing part of my stay happened on the morning of departure. At 8:02 AM, hotel staff repeatedly knocked on my door and then entered my room even though I had not checked out and was still inside. About 12 minutes later, they returned and knocked again. When I asked why, I was told they thought I might have already left and decided to check. Entering an occupied room without confirming that a guest has checked out is completely unacceptable and a serious violation of privacy. I reported the incident to the front desk manager and was promised a follow-up from a supervisor. No one ever contacted me, apologized, or addressed the situation. For a stay costing $1,500, I expected far better cleanliness, professionalism, and respect for guests. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

My stay was during the renovations. There was dust because of the repairs and noise started at 7am. One day there was no water for more than 10h. They shouldn’t have let the bedrooms close to the renovations be occupied or at least have a plan for the stay to not be so displeasant.

Property was lovely the new renovation was where we first stayed for 2 nights and we really were enjoying our first night so we asked to extend our stay to 3 nights.

Asking to extend our stay wasn’t an issue but we would have to move rooms that’s understandable so we agreed and paid for another night. The second morning at 8am lying in bed our door was opened and we had the extra lock on so there was a big bang that startled us and then it clicked that someone’s just came into our room thank god we had that extra lock on and 5 minutes later again bang the door opened and caught the second lock. Jumping up to see and no one was there. Wasn’t the best experience having a 3 year old in our room and some random unlocking our door so we called the desk they said they would look into this. Checked out our room and went to the desk to be allocated our new room for our extra night and upon asking who came in our room the staff was shocked and said they will get to the bottom of this and let us know. Our new room wasn’t as good it was in the old building under restoration with air con that would put a v8 truck to shame with the noise. Anyways still waiting on a explanation for who entered our room twice as the hotel has CCTV all around. An explanation and a apologies would have been nice, just a reminder to always add the extra lock on your door, other than that the hotel is under renovation and still looks amazing and with the bad experience I would still stay here but to keep the room secure. 8am wasn’t a cleaning hour either as we checked.

Very comfy bed. Peaceful/quiet.

Certain areas were being renovated (gym) but alternatives were offered close by.

Lovely, newish rooms and very clean, with really comfortable beds. It was great having a little kitchenette so that we could have a simple meal if we wanted.

No facilities available at the property while they undergo renovations, but the price was still very high 🙁

The whole experience. Difficult to find our rooms. The view was ruined by all the construction, ie garbage containers in front of the rooms or staff lodging everywhere. Water in one room, smell of paint in the other. Horrible smell in some parts of the hallways ... there's already nothing available on site you'd think that they'd invest a little more on the accommodation aspect. Way too expensive ...

Worst check in experience we have ever encountered the reception desk was chest height with three computer screen taking up the full width, there was no line of vision between the customer and operative. The hotel is in a massive transition at the moment and customers should be informed of this prior to booking. Rooms were clean and tidy however we were located in the furthest corner away from the reception meaning to access the hotel we had to enter via fire door up a ramp then a flight of stairs to our room with two large suitcases and we are seniors.
