Château de Bagnols

Wunderschöne Lage des Schlosses mit Blick über die ganze Gegend, traumhafter Pool und schöne Räume im Schloss, aber auch bei den Zimmern ausserhalb - wir kommen immer wieder sehr gern in dieses Hotel.

Unser Zimmer hatte als einziges eine Glastüre gegen aussen, wenn wir die Holzaussentüre geschlossen hätten, wäre es sehr dunkel und das Schliessen ist recht aufwendig. Bei den Menu müssen alle am Tisch dasselbe Menu nehmen. Es ist nicht möglich, dass jemand das kürzere Menu nimmt.

Amazing location, full of history and wonderful amenities.

Great food but staff not so well drilled, especially Mohammed (head of service) who could do with a course in customer service. Finally, although they accept dogs they are not that dog freindly.

It’s a very beautiful location, but the photos make it seem far more luxurious than it is. Leah who works in the spa was lovely and provided a very nice massage and manicure.

This was a poor experience. The food was very average, the amenities were lacking (no towels or service by the pool, for example), the services were sparse and they charge you ridiculous fees for everything. Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed the days we were there so we couldn’t eat dinner there which was jarring because we had no vehicle and there is nothing nearby. They ended up being able to offer it to us at the last minute but we had decided to go out by then and the next town was 20 min away. I asked them to call a cab and they did not advise me that it 85 euro each way, which they were aware of and that we never would have agreed to. We then rented their bikes at 35 euro each. 15 mins into the ride my daughter’s wheel came off the axel and a guy riding by helped fix it, but then we went right back because we didn’t want to risk any issues. They refused to remove the 70 euro in charges despite the fact that we spent over $1000 in extras during our 3 days there. This is not a luxury property, I would not recommend or stay again.

Spacious and comfortable rooms in a quiet village area allowing for calm and relaxation. The hospitality staff goes above and beyond to be responsive and satisfy their guests' needs. F&B (both breakfast and in-room dining) was very good with fresh local produce and reasonable prices. Spa quite modern with good treatments availability and good products. Free parking on-site with valet service. Overall a solid property that fully delivered on short stay requirements.

The lack of light in the room as not many windows, the medieval toilets (!) typically not very hygienic, the outdoor pool was quite remote, not well maintained and the pool setup disappointing. Also the property isn't really adequate for a long-term stay as limited activation and activities in the neighborhood especially for urban visitors.

The grounds were stunning and the rooms/venue were gorgeous.

We thought the experience was lacking in a few areas. Firstly there was no assitance with baggage (normally this would be fine, however it is gravel so I had to carry my suitcase which was not what I expect to do for the price). Secondly I would not suggest booking here without a car. We were visiting France from Australia and did not have a car, and had a car service on the way to the venue. When trying to get to Lyon (30 min drive) we asked to book a taxi. We were told we would have to wait 45 min to get picked up by the hotels in service taxi and charged 120 euros. This was absurd cost and offering to us and we managed to book an uber. This is the kind of hotel where you expect services and we don’t think it provide on this.
