Alexander The Great Beach Hotel

Very good location, easy access to main sights and to the beach. We loved the sun bed service even though we were off season. The gym and sauna were OK. The staff were very kind and attentive. We were met with co concierge service and a welcome drink upon check in. The interiors are 90s luxury vibes so keep that in mind while booking. 😊 Nevertheless, the hotel is very well maintained and you can’t tell its age easily.

The food was a bit hit and miss. I did not feel well after some of the meals. The lunches in the Full Board option were very basic and looked like leftovers from last day’s dinner.

This was our second visit to the hotel and it was again fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful as well as being efficient and professional. The facilities are pristine clean and well maintained, The worst part of the whole stay was having to leave and come home.

We stayed at the Alexander for 10 days which was absolutely superb. We could not fault anything about our stay. The staff throughout the Hotel are so friendly and helpful, they just cannot do enough for you. The 4 restaurants are excellent from the general buffet one to the Italian, Pan-Asian and the Cypriot with food selections second to none. The quality, selection and service in the restaurants is just superb. The waiting staff are so efficient and kind, and make your experience so exceptional. As for the rooms, they are just wonderful, with excellent facilities and are serviced excellently. We were lucky enough to get a wonderful room with sea and town views. I cannot praise this hotel enough, from start to finish of our holiday we were treated so well by everyone.

We returned to visit again this lovely hotel from our first trip last year. The hotel is fantastic and was the reason on returning. The location is great near to Paphos harbour,with a beach nearby. The spotless clean hotel is tireless in making you welcome. From the porters,reception,customer service team,bar team and restaurant staff all so friendly and helpful to your needs. Our room as previously was clean and comfortable with a great sea view and balcony which was perfect. The spa area was clean and easy to use for a swim or sauna. However I must point out a decline on the food selection. I’m not being critical but am comparing the food selection from our last visit to our recent stay. Breakfast was great with everything from cold selection to fried choice and eggs cooked to order. It’s the evening food that was not as good. The choice was not as good as previously,with many food choices dried and unplenished.Alsoat times the young staff when asked on certain foods were not sure and had to ask a chef(why not have briefing before service) Also on a few occasions chefs were taking food for themselves plating up their post shift meals,this being done when some customers had not been served,which is totally wrong and out of order. Sweets were never replaced especially if you ate later which left you feeling short changed. As with all the food it’s never hot,just warm However we will return but the food I feel needs a little bit attention and don’t take it for granted,otherwise familiarity breeds contempt and tourists may move elsewhere especially when paying a premium. Just a final note,the Silly Aged Geriatric Association (saga) feel they are aloof of everybody but best to just ignore their pretentiousness. Otherwise just enjoy. Ps everyone was helpful mentioning Jordon,Xenia,Victoria as these were so welcoming members of staff at the Alex.
