Alexander The Great Beach Hotel

This was my 4th visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint. It is about 15 minutes easy drive from Paphos airport. Ultra clean, Well organised, efficient. I had a sea view room and I was extremely happy.

We stayed at Alexander The Great Beach Hotel from 15–22 March and had a fantastic time, even though the weather didn’t always cooperate. The location is ideal — just a short and pleasant walk to the harbor, which made exploring Paphos really easy and enjoyable. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — a perfect place to relax after a day out. What truly made our stay special was the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Everyone we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The bar has a lovely atmosphere with daily entertainment, and the food consistently exceeded our expectations. The Garibaldi, Seven Orchids, and Limanaki restaurants were absolute highlights. It was our first stay here, and we’re already excited to return end of May.

Just back from a fabulous Birthday trip, this was the first time staying at the Alexander The Great, what a great experience, from first stepping through the doors, the staff are so welcoming. It was special to receive a Birthday cake, card and balloons for my special birthday. Meals were delicious, we eat in the Italian for my birthday, such a treat, must be done.

We got married here in 2009 and since then have stayed a few times but not since it was refurbished. We were excited to come back as the place always holds special memories. Our room 311 really needs some work water marks in ceiling from a leak, missing grout and damaged woodwork in bathroom. It just all looks dated and not what I expected. Bed comfortable. Night time entertainment two singers on Wednesday night were beyond shocking we thought they were a comedy act as so bad! It’s obvious the hotel group has spent all the entertainment budget at the sister hotel next door as their bar entertainment was superb. Food was ok but not always hot at dinner. Breakfast food selection. Staff were good throughout. Unfortunately they had a very loud family who drank all day and thought it expectable to swear every other word even though family’s present you could tell waiting staff had enough. Fortunately they left after 3 days. I don’t think unfortunately I would comeback again unless updated I would maybe go next door which is a shame.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic. The reception area is so nice. Food is always good, the evening dining area is like a posh restaurant. Location is good for a walk to the harbour. Definitely returning soon.
