Fantastic location & beautiful property with friendly staff

The position and proximity

Cleanliness poor parking not great

Lovely hotel, nicely decorated, a good choice of food at breakfast, car park available at the rear. The reception is at the bar. Our room was spacious with a double bed, TV, two chairs view from the windows over Harrogate Baths, coffee and tea. The bed was comfortable. A good choice of menu for dinner. A beer garden with umbrellas for shade. about a 5 minute walk uphill to the centre of Harrogate

We arrived 45 minutes early and our room was not available, we were encouraged to wait and have a drink while we waited, the cynic in me thinks this is a ploy to increase sales at the bar as other people arrived after us and their rooms were not ready either.....

The location was excellent for all amenities. All within short walking distance.

The weather wasn't to bad but would have been nice if sunny.

We decided to eat in the pub and the food was delicious. Really good choice of different foods. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

Gorgeous hotel, great location, beautiful interior with clean and comfortable accommodation. The breakfast buffet was really good and the service excellent. Reception area is actually the bar area and not staffed so wait times to check in and out were longer than usually experienced at a hotel. Sadly the lift was out of order and this did cause issue for us with mobility issues. In itself not a criticism of the hotel because these things happen but we were not told, or offered any help with luggage or asked if it would cause problems . That was disappointing. We only stayed for one night, but it was challenging as our room was 2nd floor and as far away from the stairs you can get. More nights and we would have needed room on a lower floor and nearer to the stairs. Even on checking out no one ever asked if we were okay or if we'd had a good stay. The hotel is stunning but customer focus needs sharpening.

Cosy rooms were in fact very very small, had to pay for parking but apparently speaking to other guests they didn’t!!! No lift and wasn’t informed about that!! Very expensive in bar and for food
