Cumberland Hotel Worcester

Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel shows its age but its well maintained. Dinner was good but the wait is long, some dishes were not available though.

The breakfast was not enough for all the guests so we had to wait a long time for the staff to make extra food. The food was cold that was served. The coffee machine broke down a few times. Had to wait for cups to be washed to make coffee. We had a special request for specific rooms and confirmed with the hotel twice before arriving. On the day of arrival our rooms where not as requested and had to have it changed at the last minute.

The room was spacious. Secure parking. Friendly staff. Food was delicious at the restaurant.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I initially booked two rooms via Booking.com, as it gave me the option for a family of two adults and two children. Immediately after booking, I called the hotel directly to request that the rooms be adjacent. I was told that while the rooms were close, there would be one room separating them. Given that this was not ideal for my family, I asked if we could instead be moved to a family room to keep both of my children with us in one space. The receptionist informed me that she would need to consult with her manager. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from the duty manager who assured me that my request would be accommodated and that I didn’t need to worry — everything was sorted. To my surprise, I then received a conflicting message from another duty manager via the Booking.com portal, confirming that our two rooms will be next to each other. I chose to disregard this message, trusting the verbal confirmation I received over the phone that our booking had been changed to a family room as requested. However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was shocked to find that absolutely nothing had been done. We were still booked into the two original, separated rooms. The hotel was fully booked and unable to accommodate the family room arrangement they had clearly promised and confirmed. This level of miscommunication and failure to deliver on a confirmed arrangement is unacceptable. I planned carefully and communicated clearly in advance, yet was let down at the very last moment — with children in tow and no practical solution offered. I expected far better, both in service and accountability. This experience has left me completely disillusioned with both the hotel’s management and their commitment to guest satisfaction.

Aircon doesn't work. breakfast run seems disorganized.

The staff are great.The bed was very comfortable, The toilet seat was broken, did not look pleasant, the shower leaked and there was only luke warm water, no hot water.

There were only 3 channels on the TV. The air con didn't make warm. For that hefty amount of money, they could atleast put Netflix or more channels to watch as some of the guests doesn't want to go out. And there was no breakfast, my breakfast was Included bur when we arrived there was no one to help us at the restaurant reception area and there was no food in the buffet trays nor al la cart menu to choose from. They had a slot room but it wasn't worth it as it was common games and not exciting.
