"A very good hotel that has withstood the test of time."

Breakfast was brilliant, and I tried the dinner for the first time. Compared to Jakarta, the price/cost is much more competitive. There was also live music, which is cordial for a light beer under the moon, next to the swimming pool, and to enjoy the evening breeze.

The entire hotel is considered one of the oldest hotels in Solo. Despite always trying to reinvent/refurbish itself, some of the rooms probably need a repaint. I would also think that the room (at least the one I stayed in, Room 511) can do away with the carpet for hygiene purposes.

I would have given an excellent rating except when we arrived after a 7 hour train ride we were given a smoking room that was dirty and run down. Fortunately I showed them our request for non-smoking and they moved us. These little things matter when navigating a foreign country.
