Let’s start with the positives: the staff was helpful, responsive and friendly; the beach was lovely and it’s fun to float in the river. However….the public areas are very smoky even though the casino was not particularly busy, the rooms, hallways and elevators are filthy, and, with the exception of the food court, the restaurants were expensive and the food nasty. The steakhouse was particularly bad. It’s a great place for large groups with young children. The pool areas were packed and the kids seemed to be having a good time. Large groups set up sunshades and coolers on the beach and the entry to the river is gradual and shallow. You can also bring your own boat or jet skis because there is a boat launch. Palapas on the beach are $100/day on the weekends and $50 mid-week. Bring a large group with lots of little ones, eat offsite and don’t forget wipes to sanitize your room
