"Good place to stay for a long weekend"

Very friendly staff, easy to book in and out. Quiet area nice view over the river. Lovely cooked breakfast with a good choice of cereals hot and cold drinks.

There is no air-conditioning in the bedrooms and the temperature reached 33 degrees! The staff gave out fans which did little to help.

"Possibly my worst stay ever"

The location was great between the city centre and the Cardiff Bay

Advertised with air conditioning but there was none, it was boiling hot in the room and unable to sleep at night due to the heat. No fans either as they had run out. The room itself was far too small for 4 people, no bar fridge to keep drinks cool. Bathroom extractor fan was not functioning to make matters worse. The lady at the front desk was also very unhelpful whenever we required anything.

Good location and the staff were amazing and so helpful

It wasn’t their fault but we visited during a heatwave and it just wasn’t equipped to deal with it. Air con downstairs ok but the systems in the bedrooms was awful. Fans were provided but did little to help. If there had been an option to take the window restrictors off it might have helped. Air con throughout would be better.

"Hot, no air conditioning and dirty"

Nothing, we left after 30 minutes and found somewhere else to stay

We went on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room faced the sun, which heated up the room, and the room fan was pumping out warm air. There was no way anyone could sleep in that heat. We spoke to reception, and they moved us to the other side of the building and gave us 2 tower fans to help cool the room. They referred to the room fan and tower fans as 'air cooling', but they just circulate air and have no function to cool air or a room. They told us the dial on the tower fans controlled temperature, but they were time dials, not temperature controls. The inside of the tower fans, were coated in dust and would just circulate dust around the room.
