Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Bay by IHG

Good. The hotel is half way between the bay and the city centre. Very handy. The car park is also good. Tell you more after my next visit.

The room was comfortable and clean, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty, the bar food was also very tasty and good value for money. Great location within 20 mins walking distance of Cardiff Central train station, Cardiff Bay and the Utilita Arena. Lovely waterfront location.

Good size car park, fair price and close to the water. Location for us personally was great as visiting family who lived very close by

Staff seemed new and disorganised, different people saying different things and staff seemed more worried about blaming other staff members than actually helping you We requested an early check in, wasn’t an option you could pre book. Told by a lady at 11am we could check in by 12:30, arrived at 1pm and no room ready, guy in reception was annoyed and more concerned with blaming the person who said we could, told housekeeping were checking but another lady had to check with housekeeping. Got one room eventually and then when we came back in the PM same guy tried to give us the room we already had, very chaotic, then in the morning my parents room keys stopped working completely. Breakfast was basic, croissants were stale, no dairy free butter or milk options, generally below mediocre
