Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Nashville, TN

Location was fine.

The hotel uses artificial fragrances all throughout the facility. It’s incredibly strong so if you’re fragrance sensitive, I would recommend you staying away. I stayed one night and now have a sinus infection. The hotel response was laughable. It does not go away.

It was small and okay. The hallway smelled funny but the room didn’t. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was just okay

It was good and sufficient for a day riding in the car.

Was close to everywhere we wanted/needed to go.

Bed was squeaky when getting in/out. Had to put a little force to opening/closing the main room door coming & going. Did not like my view of the air units on the roof right outside my window.

The staff was fantastic. I can't remember the name of the lady at the counter but she is great, helpful and full of useful tips. The hotel isn't too bad. Breakfast is good. You'll find the basics (eggs, bacon, juices, cereal, yogurt...). The rooms are OK. A lot of repairs are done poorly, what I would call the "landlord special". What bothered me the most was the smell. They use air fresheners everywhere. It smells like you're in a toilet. I had to air out my room for a while (windows don't stay up and are very dirty and need to be replaced with fog in between the panes). Mixed with the air freshener scent is a smell of tobacco/humidity. I think that's the smells they are trying to hide. Other than that, there is a McDonald's and a restaurant just across the hotel. That's pretty much your only food options at a walking distance for lunch. Other restaurants nearby only open for dinner. If you stay there for a conference, it is at a walking distance from the convention center and all the amenities at Gaylord Opryland . The walk is pleasant. All in all, this hotel is decent for the price but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The hotel was in a quiet area but very close to restaurants and tourist attractions.
