INA Hotel Royal

A very good but basic hotel. Good location and just what I needed for a couple of nights.

Yes nice little hotel. Short walk from the central station, aldstadt and even shorter to Hansaring on the s-bahn with regular trains all over the rhineland. Very central, plenty of good bars, cafes, cheap eats and restaurant options around in short distance for every budget. Good cheaper kebab and bratwurst type options (kebabs are great in Germany, much better than in the UK) and some very nice restaurants. I ate a kebab one evening from a kebab place, some asian food the next, some nice German food at a smarter bar restaurant and it was all very nice. Decent breakfast provided and for a single traveller like me was perfect. Yes just stay here its cheap, central, perfectly comfortable and in good working order. The wifi actually works here aswell, which is rare for a budget hotel in Germany (believe me I know). On the negative I could not get the tv to work, which was a bit annoying when I had some downtime.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, good choice at breakfast and very clean. A little bit worn in places but very good value for money.

The location was good as we were close to where we wanted to be - we were going to wedding. The 'man' receptionist was very helpful with ordering taxi. It was VERY hot weather and sadly no air con. Window did open but there was no breeze.

Location pretty good, only a short walk into the city centre. Breakfast very good value for money

It's quite a good location, about 15 minutes to walk to the Dom and rail station, also close to bus stop 12 for the open top bus tour. The rooms were fine, as was breakfast, and staff helpful and friendly but I've stayed in nicer places for the same price or less.

Showers were fantastic. Room was a bit basic. Great location.

We were there for 5 days. Good breakfasts, plrasant syaff, short train ride to the Messe, clean rooms. Ok size for Europe. Beds waay too soft.

Asked for extra pillows at the reception. Was told that they would take them to the room. Came back from an evening meal, no pillows in the room. Went to reception to ask again. Was told would bring them to the room any minute. Never did. If you don't have additional pillows, just say, but don't treat your guest like fools.
