INA Hotel Royal

There were lots of great things about my stay here. I had a room on the 6th (top) floor and it faced the back, so I had a view of the Cathedral which was wonderful. It was also very quiet. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were all so nice and helpful. It’s really close to the Hansaring station which is one stop from the Köln HBF. It’s also easy to walk to the Dom and the Altstadt, shopping, museums, etc. The downsides: the room was slightly run down; there were holes in the fabric of the box spring and the chair. The bed was not terribly comfortable. The wifi is okay but I think because I was on the top floor it would cut out sometimes. Not a big deal because you can go to the lobby for a better connection. There is no kettle, ironing board, safe, or fridge in the room. However, the price is right for budget travel so one can’t expect those extras. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Very good hotel, would recommend it for a short stay when the temperature is not too warm.

Hotel is a bit tired. The location is good, near to restaurants and bars and walking distance to main station, Dom and Altstat. Bathroom was very small and the beds were very low. Bedroom was spacious. There was no kettle or air conditioning. Breakfast is good.

Great location; walking distance from train. Comfortable and spacious room with an excellent breakfast buffet. Exceeded expectations overall.

Hotel close to the main train station and a S-Bahn station. A lot of restaurants and supermarkets near by. Pictures are pretty accurate, so you know what you'll obtain for what you pay. It's an inexpensive hotel so don't expect luxury. Could have better pillows, but staff was attentive and fast to provide more pillows when we requested them. Breakfast basic but OK. Need to improve the WiFi and since I use to travel with teenagers, a faulty WiFi could be a dealbreaker, so don't know if I'd stay again.

Great location, great little hotel with more than adequate rooms. We stayed on the back and was no noise from the road

Cant complain. Clean and cheap. Was pleasant enough. It is in a good area too. Trains 2 minute walk away or 15 minutes walk to Hbf and centre. Nice Cafe/bars/restaurants right on the doorstep.

Good location, single room was good, fairly clean. You can hire the kettle (if needed). Central train station is 1min.by train. Lanxess arena is 5min.away by train. From airport you can get in 20min.by train. Breakfast for 3star hotel (on an economy side). Staff are very helpful and nice.

Close to train station, friendly staff, comfortable and clean, extensive breakfast buffet. Very good value for money.
