Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and clean room, an unbelievably quiet location given that it's so close to LGW, with very personable and helpful staff. The Mulberry restaurant dinner was high standard, with a good well priced wine list. Good cocktails in the bar. What's not to like? Read on.

The breakfast is a let down. No fresh fruit (tinned only), no yoghurts, limited menu of cooked dishes and we had difficulty in getting avocado without chilli in it (some of us don't like chilli). Overall it was a thin breakfast. The other thing: the garden and the external appearance. It's pretty clear that the owners don't want to spend money on upkeep. The once-lovely garden is now unkempt and sad. The water pond is choked with floating weed. The external walls are overgrown with climbing shrubs and creepers and the roof desperately needs maintenance.
