The idea of “doing the right thing “ applies in all aspects of life but certainly when your business deals with the public. Most recently the manager of the location had the option to do the right thing, the easy button choice and chose instead to ignore a long and many time customer of the hotel who has stayed at a Hyatt over 120 nights in 2025. More specific, I was staying yet another 3-4 nights at the hotel and my flight into KC was canceled by AA because of mechanical issues so I would not be making it in the 1st night of my many night stay.. I called the Hyatt Place offering to provide evidence of the flight being canceled but was told not to bother because there was no way they would credit my stay for one night of the several nights because my reservation was prepaid non-cancelable. Well sure BUT I had stayed at the location over 40 times in 2025 AND the place was far from full so the hotel was not losing any money if they chose to “do the right thing”. Of course doing the right thing is the right thing to do even if you lose a little money. Pretty sad result and poor choice by the manager. In the end my company which occupies the hotel for thousands of nights a year bore the cost of the bad decision by the manager and not me but you hate seeing a company and a person taken advantage instead of doing a manager doing the right thing.

stayed here to go to a Chiefs game. this hotel was excellent! convenient location to the stadium, clean and quiet, friendly staff, great breakfast with lots of good options, and plenty of parking. room was spacious and had nice touches, like an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom and outlets by the bed. very nice!

The hotel was fine. It was a nice touch to have a small bar area with food available. However, the staff was rude at check-in and were not empathetic when our daughter was stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes while she waited for the fire department to get her out. They also refused to offer any type of compensation for the inconvenience of not having working elevators for the remainder of the stay (our group was on the 5th and 6th floors).

Overall the hotel was nice and well kept up. It's location was great for us and had great amenities.

Unfortunately elevators were out of order on Sunday morning during breakfast and check out time.

Room was very comfortable. Especially the bed and pillows. One thing I like about Hyatt Place is the sectional where you can sit and watch TV, relax and not have to just sit on your bed. Makes a big difference. The gym was nicely equipped. This hotel is located in good proximity. Many good restaurants. I always like to recognize employees who do their jobs. Well, are courteous and friendly. At this property I want to thank Kathryn, Imelizna, Caretina who vacuumed every morning on the first floor and always had a big smile on her face, Ruth, the two women working Friday morning 10/31 were really excellent. The staff was always smiling. Only low point was the breakfast could have been a little better. Get some Greek yogurt.
