The location

There was a musty odor in the entire establishment. Everything was outdated from maintenance to decor. They had removed the privacy latches from the room doors, the entire wall behind the beds which was the entire length of the room was a mirror...creepy. The beds didn't even have blankets on them they were merely covered with a sheet. When I went out to the front desk to ask a question the guy working had all the lights off and was sitting in the dark on his phone. So with all that said, we were afraid to shower not knowing if there were cameras in the room and we were extremely cautious when it came to the free breakfast provided as that area was sketchy as well. They sent a request via email to me asking what time we'd be checking out, we had until 11 am to check out, I responded that we'd be leaving at 9:30. At 9 am they walked right into our room with intentions to clean. I have NEVER had that happen before ever. Perhaps they do things differently in "their" country but seriously what if I had been changing my clothes. I booked this room sight unseen, based solely on pictures provided online and it was absolutely nothing as described. I will NEVER check in to a place again without requesting a walk through prior to payment.

The bathroom and room were clean, but the doors and a chair were extremely dirty. There weren’t enough hangers in the bathroom, so we had to hang our towels on a chair and the closet door — which I had to wipe down first with sanitizing wipes. Breakfast was just okay, basic stuff you’d probably find at Walmart. What was really unpleasant were the garbage cans outside — filthy and placed right next to the breakfast tables, and they stayed that way all week. We were there for the Oshkosh Airshow, and the price was outrageously high even though the hotel was more than half empty. Staff were very nice. Bed sheets and towels clean.

Outside looked nice, inside was not great at all. Walls and doors looked beat up and run down. Rooms were tiny and uncomfortable. And what was up with the bed in the window sil?
