Near my work site, clean, warm, got the job (sleep, shower) done.
1. The parking lot loitering was nerving. I was nervous that my things in my truck would be stolen. Luckily that wasn’t the case! All things remained where I put them! So all good there! 2. There was something left behind in the freezer of the room’s fridge. Not sure what it was, we didn’t touch it! 3. Lastly, in the middle of the night during the return to bed from the restroom, I mearly brushed against the end of the bed as I walked past the foot end and apparently the steel bed frame sticks out a little because it gave me a decent cut on the outside of my calf. I’m fine, nothing a bandaid couldn’t fix. In conclusion, I needed to sleep. I slept. It was clean. I’d probably stay again if the occasion repeats itself. I think the $100/night might be a little inflated, but that’s just my opinion.
Room was large and comfortable, and very clean. Excellent continental breakfast included. Very friendly, courteous staff. No negatives at all to say about this motel.

Nice
It was a wonderful place to stay. Cuba is a little town in the boonies, but Econolodge is located close to the few places they have to eat. It also has a nice free continental breakfast, including waffles, the rooms are very large and even have a couch! I was pleasantly surprised. I only stayed one night, then chose to stay the rest of my time at a place closer to the college. However, the other place is not as nice as the Econolodge and is $10 more expensive with NO breakfast, plus they charge for hot beverages in the lobby! I will stay at Econolodge next time, even if 30 minutes away from Houghton College where I was visiting.
The staff was very nice. I just did not appreciate the swarm of ants that appeared in our bathroom. This was march so I can't imagine the problem they have when the weather warms up.
