Pestana Ocean Bay Resort

This hotel has an excellent location. Their staff is absolutely amazing! Friendly, helpful and always with a smile. Manuela in the restaurant and breakfast makes every morning into a bright day. Thank you!

Schöne Zimmer mit wunderschönem Meerblick. Die Lage direkt am Strand hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen im Restaurant war gut und abwechslungsreich, und auch die Abendprogramme waren interessant. Wir kommen gerne wieder in dieses Hotel.

We loved the location, watching the sunset over the ocean was spectacular. All staff membres were really helpful and nice. The hotel is a bit old but that is clear from the pictures on the net and we were perfectly OK with that. Everything was super clean.

Food was rather bland. We had all inclusive but used only breakfast and dinner as we were out during the day. Eggs for breakfast were horrible, meat for dinner often not too good. On the other hand there was always something one could eat. The hotel is a bit out dated and if something breaks down, it takes time to get fixed. We stayed one week and in the middle of our stay one of the two lifts broke down and it stayed like that until the end of our holidays. The hotel was rather full and one lift was definitely not enough.

We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back! Susana at the front desk was especially kind and helpful. However, the entire staff was friendly and professional.

The hotel needs to be refreshed, but the staff made up for the shortcomings, they were very nice and very helpful. On my birthday, the hotel surprised me with a cake and champagne in my room.
