We had a wonderful week staying in the Level at the Meliã. I don't know why they changed the name because almost everything still has the Gorriones branding on it.

"Remote and quiet "

10.0

We stayed at Melia for 12 days in August The beach is great (if you are not bothered by the naturists wandering naked) The food is great I can not think in something bad about it Maybe the wind … You have everything you need there, but to see the rest of the island is a must Cofete beach, Sicasumbre observatory, other beaches … If you wanna go shopping Morro Jable is about 20 minutes driving So yes, just go and enjoy The staff is great

"Okay hotel but needs improvement to be 4*"

4.0

On arrival, we were "greeted" by a woman who wasn't friendly. We then discovered the room had been made up as a twin room so went back down to ask that this was changed to one double bed and the man we dealt with was very friendly and arranged for this immediately. As we arrived late and had paid for all inclusive, the hotel had arranged for a cold dinner buffet for us which was considerate. The "double bed" was very uncomfy with the crack in the middle very obvious - there was no mattress topper to make the gap less obvious which was disappointing. The shower head did not stay at the highest point on the pole and kept sliding down which was annoying. There were a lot of improvements being made to the poolside area while we were there - literally men drilling at the ground which was really loud and not a relaxing environment. We both experienced upset stomachs which we believe was due to the ice in the drinks. The food was good though - there was a big selection every day and the quality was generally good. The day before we checked out, we asked if late checkout was possible and unfortunately, it wasn't. However the woman (who checked us in) said that we could get a courtesy room for a shower which suited us. The next day, we asked to use the room and were told we needed to book in advance and it wasn't available when we asked. Disappointed that we weren't told by the woman that this was the process when we asked the night before. Also, the gym was unbearably hot.

"Lovely location"

10.0

Lovely location, ideal for a relaxing week sitting by the pool or taking a stroll along the beach. Food was good especially the freshly made pancakes at breakfast and the desserts plus the cocktails. Was impressed by the fact there was a free bus to Oasis Park each day at 10 am so you could plan a day out there if you wanted to without having to hire a car or get there.

Great to relax but with children could make the playpark bigger and more interesting. The children love the children’s pool. The staff are fantastic and helpful. Rooms clean and functional.

"Obvious and necessary improvements of a good hotel"

6.0

The hotel is good for a family of 4. Here are some suggestions: - Need of another elevator as well as faster elevators - the pool side bar closes at 5pm: why ?!! - It was unclear at the time of booking that half board guests would have to pay for beverages during dinner - our sea view balcony had two very large long chairs that did not allow moving around on the balcony - breakfast starts too late (7:30) for a hotel with so many int’l guests.

"Ultra remote hotel"

4.0

Heated pool being refurbished in winter with constant drilling noise. No gym. No English TV whatever. Hotel very remote specialising in wind/kite surfers. No possibility to walk anywhere, no courtesy bus. Not on bus route, needed taxis to get anywhere. No heating in hotel so during long cold spell most guests wearing coats and scarfs indoors. Dining room was like a canteen, always running out of food items and cutlery(orange juice ran out before we arrived every day) Why the need for 4 four poster beds in the bar when there is not enough tables and chairs ?

"Nice hotel on a fantastic beach"

8.0

We had a fantastic stay at the Melia Gorriones. Staff are friendly and helpful, the place (hotel and beach)is spotlessly clean, rooms comfortable, half board was good value. The best aspect of the hotel, however, is its location. It sits singly on one of Fuerteventuras best beaches. You don't get the overcrowding you have in some resorts, blue see, sand and dunes as far as the eye can see. The hotel garden is beautifully maintained and provides a great wind shelter when the sun is not out. When it is sunny you should definitively abandon the pool area and head to the beach. The water is warmer than the pool and the splashing around in the waves a lot more fun.
