"Overal pleasant except for the receptionist "

8.0

The stay at this hotel was pleasant. The room fairly confortable although nothing special and a nice sea view. Breakfast buffet was good with load of option to chose from but coffee was disgusting and actually you could not buy a really good cappuccino anywhere in the hotel as all they have are these automatic coffe machine that are not that great. Reception staff was not great excpet for Kevin who was the only one who seemed really concerned and behalved like a proper 4 star staff. I was checked in by an extremely rude Spanish woman (can't remeber her name). I just couldn't believe how she shouted at me "I just told you!!!" forgetting I was actually the client who was trying to buy a drink at the bar and despite asking the bar to pay by credit card he sent me to reception to leave my card number with them. I was frankly disgusted by her attitude even when I genuinely thought I had purchase a full inclusive package which apparently was not. This is not the way staff should treat their customers. Shame on you!!!

"Old structure, need urgent renovation"

4.0

It is a late seventies structure, clearly showing the weight of the years, in a lot of details. The quality of the restaurant is extremely disappointing.

"Chilly February hotel"

6.0

Great location for beach sports, but hotel was cold as no heating during February cool period. With wind blowing down corridors. In need of some basic upgrading, but rooms clean and good size.

"Melia Gorriones"

6.0

Stayed in the same hotel 2 years ago and it feels like the hotel has gone downhill a bit. The staff are still pleasant and friendly, but cuts seem to be made with staffing e.g. Kids club only ran from 0900-1100 and not on the weekends. The night entertainment also seemed a bit half hearted. Not sure we'd go back again, unless improvements were made.

"Lovely child-friendly hotel on fringe of beach"

8.0

Clean rooms with sofabed +/- campbed, facilities to make light meal i.e fridge, counter, sink, microwave (stayed in casas del mar room next to main hotel with seaview). Uncroweded despite feb half-term. Great food with wide variety of choices especially the freshly cooked specials. Staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Would definitely go again.

"A perfect week for Winter Sun!"

10.0

This was a great 'chill out' holiday and we were fortunate to have fabulous weather. There was little to do in the area unless you hired a car. The hotel has plenty of relaxing areas and the Gabi Bar was a great place to end the evening in the hotel after spending time watching the entertainment in the 'Fun Bar'. The food was top quality and fresh - sometimes, depending on what you chose it was cooked to order and there was certainly something for everyone. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The All Inclusive package was well worth taking. We were not in 'The Level' section of the hotel but we found the rooms clean and adequate. However, they did not have any coffee/tea making facilities - which didn't matter to us as we were All Inclusive - but if you were not, this could be an issue. The TV has very few channels for English viewers - mainly World News. The free Wi Fi is a bonus but is somewhat intermittent and only in certain parts of the hotel. However, these are minor points and we would definitely return - hopefully next year!

"Full of Germans!"

8.0

Isolated hotel with limited WIFI - food good - clean but a bit dated. The gym doesn't have a full set of equipment such as bikes and running machines. Entertainment was very average.

"Great hotel, lovely beach, just what we wanted"

8.0

We had a really good time here. Booked the level accommodation which gives you a much better deal all round. Exclusive breakfast area, ocean view, exclusive sectioned off area with soft drinks close to pool, free wi-fi snacks papers in another designated room within hotel. Not too impressed with wifi reception overall, not available in rooms and pretty difficult to maintain connection in designated areas. Choice for vegetarian limited. We eat fish so ok but otherwise salad/ plate of vegetables. Staff friendly and helpful. Beach great. Literally 4 minutes from hotel. Great to watch wind and kite surfers. Difficult for beginners unless the lagoon is there. This is when high tide occurs ( every 2 weeks?) check yourself if wanting to learn. Would recommend all inclusive. Lots of choice in cocktails, good wines, spirits. Food available when you want and good choice ( for non vegetarians).

"Not a great stay"

4.0

The hotel is well located in a huge beach and dinner/breakfast were ok. However, people in the reception desk was really slow, we booked a room with sea-view but it was with floor-view, the room was old and the furniture worn out, the mattress was really unconfortable and the worst was that we found ants and a huge cockroach in the room

"Hotel with no wifi"

2.0

Terrible English of staff with no desire to help or go out of their way to give info. Rooms with smell of smoke and bad plumbing. Most importantly, no wifi!!
