Loft rooms are great but they do get traffic noise from the busy road and junction behind the hotel. (Tanzanian drivers are not averse to using their horns...

My stay far exceeded my expectations. Arriving at the Protea Oyster Bay after over 20 hours of travel was total relief. Though I only stayed for a single night, I was impressed. The staff were highly, highly welcoming and attentive, to the point of greeting me every time I saw a team member. You don't find that kind of thing easily anymore. The room was immense and comfortable, and the breakfast was an excellent way to start the day before a full day of work.

I have nothing to recommend, everything was perfect.

The staff was very kind and hospitable

The phones in my room didn't work so room service wasn't an option. Furthermore, I had to physically go to reception anytime I had a query. Also, the church nearby was rather noisy.
