Hotel Riu Lupita - All Inclusive

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend I stayed at Hotel Riu Lupita for 7 nights on the all-inclusive plan, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is clearly outdated — the rooms smelled terrible, and despite their attempt to mask it with eucalyptus, the odor never went away. The mattresses were old and extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. The food was by far one of the worst parts. I actually got sick during my stay. Meals were often bland, poorly prepared, and seemed reheated — especially at the beach club, where even a basic burger was inedible. Speaking of the beach, the listing is quite misleading. The hotel is not on the beach — you need to take a 15-minute shuttle to get there, which wasn’t what I expected when booking. Drinks were no better. The alcohol used was extremely low quality, and there were no fresh ingredients in sight. Even the lime tasted artificial. The entertainment was mediocre at best, lacking energy and variety. The only positive I can mention is the staff. The people working there were incredibly sweet, kind, and hardworking. It’s unfortunate they have to work under such poor conditions — they truly deserve better. Overall, I would not return or recommend this hotel to others. There are far better options in the area for a similar price.

Our second trip to this wonderful hotel, everything about the hotel is fantastic, the food plentiful and varied, the drinks flow 24hrs a day of you wish, a great service down to the lovely beach, lovely beach club, thank you to all of the staff ,every single one of them is a credit to this hotel, we will most certainly be back, Leigh & Pam, room 2823

I loved my stay at Riu Lupita. Food was good, drinks were good. The shuttle service was always on time. The location was nice and pools were clean! I liked everything about the resort and I’d definitely stay again!

We had an all around good trip. We really enjoyed the beach club and how safe our items were when we left them on our chairs.

We had a great time at this resort. Everything is as advertised. The food is delicious and the service was exceptional. From reception, to service at the restaurants, to the bartenders and attendants around the pool. We never had to wait long for anything and they continuously refilled our beverages. The mattress was hard and unfortunately we weren’t sent a mattress topper when requested, we dealt with it, but I would say this was the only downside.

Were there for 10 days - room 1430. Nice complexe among vegetation and wild animal searching for food even around the pool. Food : excellent choice & well excutated. Beach area also very enjoyable and actvities well organized. I have 2 suggestion to make ; to ask the bus to drop customers brought back from the White Tequilla Party at the lobby instead of the regular bus stop because they are drunk & loud and disturb those sleeping (like us) and ask the staff (anyone actually) to tell customer to respect the rule not to feed wild animal around the pool. One customer did feed and show off out loud his gesture. Next thing you know one animal was climb on me in the pool chair looking for food but I had none. A quick gesture from me made it go away. it is really minor really. Congratulation to your staff for their kindness & smile. They worked hard to please us and we did appreciated it.
