Best Western Plus Hill House

This is a hidden gem in Bakersfield. It is a true Bakersfield experience to stay here. The staff is consistently welcoming and attentive. It is a historic location and naturally has all the charm you would expect from one.

Clean, comfortable rooms with large TV and multiple viewing options. Have stayed here many times in different rooms, and the air conditioners worked well in each room, and the amenities include a microwave, and generously sized refrigerator. The beds are very comfortable, especially for a hotel. The grounds are kept clean, and the pool is nice. Excellent security fencing around the property to keep out those not staying at the hotel. Front desk staff is always friendly, efficient, and kind. This is a wonderful place to stay in Bakersfield, CA.

Friendly staff big room nice nice area not much noise.

Walls are a little thin can here people walking and talking in hall way.

Clean and cozy. Bed and TV are updated. Room was nice.

TV channel selection was horrible. NO news or movie channels. Breakfast is not available until 7:30 which is not helpful to many people like me that start earlier than that.

It was clean and well maintained.

Good room

The wash basin overflowed in the middle of the night - we hear dripping noises at 4am and found water filling up the basin from the wastepipe below and flooding out beyond the bathroom. We have to move to an another room, which was smaller. Front of house staff were very apologetic but would not agree to refund.
