Scandic Polar

Great location in the city centre close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are old with worn out furniture and especially the toilet require a complete renovation, old tiles and tap, missing part of the shower box enclosure, cleaning is really bad as in three rooms we found hair from previous guests in the restroom, even pee strains in one case. Anyway leaving a short written note made it as the cleaning staff paid more attention. When we checked in one room was not available and we got downgraded for the first night but the hotel staff was very friendly and offered us a complimentary dinner, much appreciated. Overall hotel pricing is outrageous anywhere in Rovaniemi

Old furniture, old toilet, overall cleaning

The beds were comfortable and, surprisingly for Finnish hotels, this place managed to have a shower cabinet built in such a way that the water flows into the floor outlet properly without dousing all the rest of the bathroom. The breakfast was great, and the clerk at the reception was attentive, and the whole process went fast enough. Parking was free in the courtyard (with licence plate registration), which is a big plus! The room is spacious, perhaps a bit too spacious for just two people. All in all, it was great, but only for the single night we stayed.

First of all, the windows are showing their age (the whole thing seems to be dating back to the 1970s) with the inability to keep sound out, making you wake up to snowploughs and garbage trucks at 5 AM. The fire drill plaquette on the door mentions the countries "SF" and "SU", which shows the age of the place, along with the single-cavity metal radiators. We also may have found the wiretap's control centre on the wall? (Nah, it was some "massage bed" thing that no longer exists in the place.) Opening the small window was enough to cool the room sufficiently for a good sleep. The lack of properly grounded (3rd pin) electric sockets was a bit frightening, my laptop gave me some slight shocks. The price point is a bit brutal, even if this hotel was the cheapest available option (for a single-night stopover, we weren't looking for anything extra). (Slight nit: the "free Wi-Fi with no password needed" only works with WiFi6 devices; on some older devices that we have, we were only able to find password-protected 2.4 GHz networks.)

Costo spropositato per la tipologia di hotel. Camere vecchie, sporche (ho dovuto richiedere più volte la pulizia della camera). Ribadisco il costo eccessivo dell'hotel rispetto ai servizi proposti. Non lo consiglierei.

Unhelpful and rude Staff, room was cold heater not working, bathroom flooded no drinking water supplied instead charged us, no hot water kettle and charged

Czysto, świetne śniadanie

Drzwi do kolejnego pokoju przez które było słychać każdy szmer.

A város központi részén található. A reggeli megfelelő.

Nem volt a szobában hűtőszekrény, kávé/tea , vízforraló. Vacsora lehetőség helyben nincs. A környéken csak előre foglalással lehet éttermet találni.

The staff was nice. The rooms were clean cozy and warm. The sauna was a perk and the closet to hold luggage was a lifesaver. The breakfast could've shown a bit more variety and the sauna shower could've been cleaned but other than that it was perfect.

Good food and variety., Coffee not strong enough.

It is a worn down hotel, carpets nbeed replacing, drapes in the rooms need replacing, the base of the shower leaks, the room lighting is terrible, too few electrical sockets and none by the bed for recharging.
