Village Hotel Coventry

Good location, nice bar restaurant and there is swimming pool. Air conditioning ground floor. Unfortunately that was the only area with air conditioning. When I received a phone call from Village hotel confirming my booking, I query about air conditioning for my room and was told there are air conditioning. I was disappointed to find the air conditioning was a small table top fan.

No air conditioning in very hot weather. The small table top fan is not sufficient for the hot days and nights, when there’s little air flow through the small window openings. We cannot sleep in the heat. There is no air flowing in the corridor leading our room. It was like a sauna.

Beds were hot - lying on quilt and heavy quilt

The breakfast was very good the staff catered well for my gluten allergy and were very kind. I found afterwards that I had been charged £30 instead of £25 for tboth the breakfasts which was not the agreed price.

ThatI was over charged for breakfast. Ty gf e bed was lumpy and pillows hard. I found the noisy bar at the entrance an unwelcome first impression.

Very hot in the rooms, no A/C and restrictors on windows.
