The Farrington Inn

The guy who checked us in was super friendly and welcoming, which made everything feel easy right from the start. Location was great too. There’s a direct express bus into Downtown right off the highway, so getting around was really simple. It’s also just a few minutes from Harvard University, which was perfect for us. You’ve also got plenty of convenient spots nearby like McDonald’s, Dunkin’, and some small grocery stores, so grabbing food or essentials was never an issue.

Staff is nice and helpful. The guy who registered me helped me to bring my luggage upstairs. The other guy working on the same day at night was very friendly and responsive, he made his best to find a working TV remote for me. Good location, far from Boston center, but close to Harvard and MIT. Quite neibourghood.

Stairs too steep, especially with heavy luggage.

Very dated and the shared bathroom wasn’t the best.

The location, availability and staff were quite good. WiFi worked. Off street parking was available, for an extra fee. Room was large, and had both window AC and refrigerator.

This has the appearance of a fraternity house that has been adapted. Hallways had tattered carpet. In the shared bathroom for ~6 rooms, the shower did not drain and I was quickly in an inch of water. The door to my room did not meet the door jamb, so that when locked one could see INTO THE ROOM from the hallway. The blanket on my bed had four holes from cigarette burns and another hole in the top sheet or mattress cover.

AC in unit was convenient and strong, room had a fridge and own sink which was nice. sheets and blankets were nice and thin for the summer.

mold in bathroom, bed sheets not cleaned, no soap in the bathroom, hundreds of tiny bottles of shampoo everywhere, creaking floors, lots of people outside smoking and i don know if they live here, long wait for check-in, questionable check-out procedures
