Extremely Clean and very accommodating

The facility was clean, staff super friendly however…our only 2 dislikes were the firmness of the mattress and shower water pressure was not that great. The mattress was extremely hard, but that’s our non preference. We booked here by accident and realized after our confirmation email that this wasn’t the town we were working in. It’s a small town, not a lot to choose from for restaurants, but there is a good Mexican restaurant downtown.

Contacted hotel and spoke with front desk to verify that the room I was booking through the online , Super ap, was the Baymount by Windham hotel in Wellington. And that the standard room would be a Queen. I was told “all the rooms are standard” and yes it was Baymount by Windham. Upon check in the same woman checked us in and was very pleasant. Handed us our keys and said you will be across the road at the travel lodge by Windham. I pointed out our reservations said Baymount by Windham not travel lodge by Windham. And that I had called and spoken with her to verify it was Baymount. “Sorry we are booked here so we put you over there”. I said very politely, the parking lot is empty and it is 8 pm it doesn’t look fully booked. Then we were told well can’t change it since you booked it online and that the booking put us in the travel lodge. I showed her our confirmation which clearly stated Baymount by Windham. Didn’t want to be a pain so we went across to the travel lodge. Room was clean but very dated and had a full bed. Went back to the front desk and asked if we could at least get a queen bed. Ok yep I found one for you. We thanked her so much for doing this for us. Went to the new room and it was the same size full bed. We gave up and slept in the full bed. Bottom line it is very misleading that they actually have two hotels being advertised under one name. If you buy a “discounted price” through an online ap they put you into the old hotel with small beds

Multiple issues with this property. Check-in is 3:00. We arrived at 4:30 and room wasn't ready because previous guests hadn't checked out yet. We had a schedule, so rather than wait for cleaning, the staff offered a downgrade to a single queen room. Queen bed was actually a double. They said they couldn't give us the price reduction for downgrading from a king (no reason offered), but gave us free breakfast at the diner next door. NO COFFEEMAKER in the room or on the premises. Only one nightstand so nowhere for 2nd person to lay books, water, phone, etc. Reading lights only on one side of bed. This property seems to be run by the railroad, which has its own rules, and hence the late checkout from the room we reserved. We ran into issues the last time we stayed here too. Will try hard not to stay here again.
