Hilton Garden Inn Columbus/Dublin

It was beautiful and clean. Everything was in walking distance and i felt safe doing so. There was a bar area and a beautiful area outside to sit and enjoy. The shower pressure was also amazing.

We always stay in this area for the convenience. We hadn't stayed in this Hilton for a while and the only thing we weren't aware of that we want to just share with others in case they missed it on the website is there is a parking fee of $8.00. If you are a rewards member though, it is only $3.00. This isn't a game changer I just want to let others know so they have a heads up.

Never in my life have we been charged for a parking spot at a hotel. Do you guard our car? Is there a fence around the parking lot? A gate to get in? No. Just a regular parking lot at a Hilton Garden Inn that someone decided to charge us for the privilege to park our car there. How else are we going to get to your hotel? We won’t be staying at a Hilton hotel in the future. Nothing like nickling and dimming your guests. We were also charged for something at The Shop that we did not purchase.

Nice hotel, great location, walking distance to old part of Dublin and short drive to new part of Dublin which has great restaurants and rooftop bars. The hotel is across the street from a lovely big pond with benches you can sit or take walk around it. We stayed here last July as well. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. The only downfall from last year is the breakfast buffet of $12 was all cold (scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes) and the danishes and cinnamon rolls were hard as a rock. We skipped the breakfast the next day.

the man behind the service desk was very nice and helpful. I did not know rooms were not guaranteed through hotels.com. As far as the room goes it was nice my only comment on the room is the bed is extremely hard not very comfortable. Overall it was an ok stay. I was very disappointed in the pool area. The pool itself was freezing not enjoyable at all and no restroom in the area without having to go back to your room or out to the lobby which is not very convenient if in the pool.

Hotel was clean and staff were kind. I knocked off a star because the info on TripAdvisor showed a heated pool and hot tub, neither of which exist. There is a pool, but it was very chilly, there is no hot tub. You have to pay $13 per person for breakfast and it wasn't even warm food. The eggs, potatoes are sausage were all in warming dishes, but cold.
