I was in a cosy double room. It was fine for 2 people for a night. I liked they provided a welcome drink, and also had nice café tea coffee, and fresh milk. Also had safe, covered parking

Great location. I had to use on street parking. Get the Ringgo Ap for that. Good shower & bath. Mini bag handy & kettle good. Good comfy bed & linen. Lots of tea & chilled milk included. Great breakfast. Traditional Victorian/ Georgian style hotel vibe. Quiet despite location.

Had to clamber over bed to get at window, curtains, room phone, radio & sockets: felt clumsy and student digs vibe with built in sofa/seat. A wedding meant no restaurant or bar, wasn't a big deal. The site says dbls are "cosy" but it's difficult to envisage it. 2 people would have been a crush. The description is accurate but prepare for not much foog space Stairs a bit tired. Felt student-studio-stylee. No room safe. No additional door bolt security beyond key+operated DBL lock. Air con control but no apparent air con. Could be hot in summer?

Convenient and really comfortable

Nothing. Perhaps the carpet in the public areas has had its day!

The staff on site were incredible and friendly. Despite my comment below the staff kept us informed anyway. The hotel for what I seen was lovely. The room was comfortable and the little extras placed out were a nice touch. I would come back as the location is perfect and the room and staff itself, make this a great place to stay.

Even though I was told weddings were taking place during our visit, it was a few days before our stay. If I was told in advance I probably would have rebooked elsewhere. we were unable to use the bar or restaurant there. We were offered to go to the sister hotel and they always kept me informed. Would have been nice to see more of the hotel as our room was below street level.

Je m'attendais à un banal hôtel construit dans un building "froid et anonyme" comme il s'en construit des milliers aujourd'hui et je me suis retrouvé dans un magnifique bâtiment de l'époque "Regency" beau, mais aussi plein de charme, situé dans un square vert à la belle unité architecturale : un bel endroit !

Un micro détail : j'avais réservé le breakfast tous les jours, mais le samedi matin, la porte du restaurant m'a été refusée (par une dame peu aimable et très intransigeante) à mon grand étonnement : on avait oublié de me prévenir que les heures du petit-déjeuner avait été exceptionnellement modifiée ce jour-là. Mais rien de grave : le quartier pullule de cafés où trouver des breakfasts.
