"Pleasant hotel - spoiled by the ridiculously small breakfast area"

My room was on the 4th floor with outside open railings to get to the door. I'm not good with heights (yes, I know the 4th floor isn't high, but it's high for me when I'm looking directly down over railings lol) - they happily changed it to ground floor. Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast room was way too small for the number of guests and breakfast itself was poor, as with most hotels at this price level.

"Nice Location and Friendly Staff."

We don’t typically stay at Best Western properties but opted to this time due to price. We enjoyed our stay much more than we anticipated. The staff (every single person we interacted with over a two night stay) was friendly. Each person eager to help. A refreshing nod to how all businesses practiced good customer service 20+ years ago. Our room had a beautiful river view and the hotel was an easy walk to the historic downtown area. Room had a mini refrigerator which was very nice too. Bathroom shower was not as nice as comparative properties, but sink and toilet areas were acceptable. Hotel appeared to be very dog friendly, but we didn’t have a dog to weigh in on personal experience. Parking is limited and very frustrating. Disappointing that a $15 fee per night does not guarantee a spot. A wedding reception was happening when we checked in. Those attending took all the designated hotel guest spots.
