The staff were polite, friendly, considerate, and kind. At check-in, they let us know that they had upgraded us at no cost, since they had vacancies, and wanted us to have a quieter room. Also, they let us know where the hot tub was and when it closed for the evening. Winter outdoor hot tub was an awesome way to relax sore muscles and unwind after dinner!

Both in the lobby for check-in and in the room itself, there were some rather strong artificial air fresheners. Whether I enjoyed the scent or not, they were overpowering and unfortunately gave me a bit of a headache. Not a deal-breaker for me, but I would prefer a room without the artificial scents.

The room was very clean and had updated furniture and fixtures. Definitely more than I expected from a roadside motel. Great value.

Only negative was that there was an incredibly bright light outside my window that lit up the room quite a bit, even with the blinds closed. I still slept fine, but it would be nice if the light was motion activated or at least shut off after a certain time.
