"Good budget accommodation, great location "

8.0

If you're on a tight budget and after basic accommodation in a central location then this is perfect. That's what we wanted and it's what we got. The room was quite small and the beds aren't hugely comfortable but it was cheap. Showers are a tight squeeze. Staff were all incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful. It's in a lovely location with some great views of the city from the decks. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Only issue was my bed on the bottom bunk was a bit squeaky and pillow was a bit on the small side but other than that a great stay. Friendly service and would recommend. Great price.

"Excellent, unique boat hotel/hostel in Stockholm!"

10.0

I stayed 3 nights at Rygerfjord Hotel and Hostel, and it was a really unique and fun experience! I booked a private cabin with ensuite WC and shower. My room was in the main boat (boat #1) where reception is located and breakfast is served. There are 3 boats in total. My room was small but very cozy! I didn't have a view of the oceanfront, but the room is for sleeping so I wasn't at all bothered by this. Here are the things that I loved most about this hostel/hotel: comfortable bed, cozy duvet and nice firm pillows, excellent shower (water pressure and temperature were perfect!), strong flush toilet, ample toilet paper, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels provided, central location (15 minute walk to Old Town, 20 minute walk to Central Station/city centre), 2 major supermarkets about 300-500 metres away (Willys and ICA), on site Thai restaurant and optional breakfast (I didn't use either during my stay, but was offered a 20 percent discount coupon for dinner), friendly and helpful staff, free secure luggage storage, WC in the common area, a very slight and calming movement/rocking of boat which helped me to sleep very soundly/peacefully (I enjoyed this, others may feel differently), secure, gated location, and city maps in the hallway. The hostel had a filly equipped kitchen for guests to use (coffee maker, kettle, oven, stove top, 2 microwaves, cooking utensils, pots and pans, plates and bowls, coffee mugs and cups, flatware, 2 massive fridges and 1 massive freezer for food storage etc.) as well as dish soap, drying rack and sponges for washing. Guests were respectful and cleaned after themselves. The hostel/hotel also had regular housekeeping and cleaning and very strong and secure wifi signal. My only minor complaint about the room was the sink in the WC/shower. The tap didn't really line up with the sink, so water went all over the floor when I went to wash my hands. Minor annoyance, but I found the misalignment very strange! I was a bit concerned about the noise booking into a hostel, and being on a boat. I did hear some noise coming from the cabins, but the hostel/hotel had many older/mature couples and travellers. Everyone was very respectful of the noise! I had a very excellent stay here, and I think that it was a very budget friendly option considering how expensive Stockholm is. The cost of 3 nights here was the equivalent price of 1 night in a hotel elsewhere in Stockholm. I had a great stay, definitely would stay again!

Loved the location, easy to access all the sights we wanted to see. It is an old ship and so rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Nice location, but rather loud in the main area (and the doors do little to keep noise out. More of a hostel vibe even if you book a private room.

Everything was fine for me, staff did their best to be helpful. If you’re dead set on luxury- not for you. I’d like to note that as far as I’ve observed, it is unsuitable for children and people with limited mobility due to it being boats with somewhat difficult access and they do disclose on the fire hazards upon arrival.
