Econo Lodge Ames

Room was newly updated. Mattress felt very loose coils, sunk down a lot. Slept well anyway.

Only one way into hotel. You could exit out side but not reenter. Also, the key card still used magnetic system. I couldn't put my phone next to the card or I lost access to my room.

The room wasn’t clean, there was rodent feces and bed bugs underneath the bedsheets, the floor was disgusting and the room smelled like cigarette smoke.

The breakfast was good. The management was very attentive and easy to work with.

The Econolodge needs to be updated but the management seemed well aware of that.

Management was friendly recognized me by name and readily responded to any requests or concerns. The property did need some updates. First night stay was very full so room I was in had major water damage that had yet to be repaired and room updates. They needed to come update the cable box so TV could be watched

Bed bugs!!

Not clean. Broken ice machine. Bugs in shower tub. Excess hair in bathroom. Thin walls and ceiling. Nice people but the facilities are in desperate need of updates and care.

Not clean sight get towels when needed. Hot water didn't work
